Hi everybody !
I am new to this forum.. So nice to meet you all. A couple of days ago I found the secret behind the trick where two queens are switched into 2 aces. In the trick, David preforms a triple lift. I was wondering what's the best way of doing that. And the second question. The switch of the second queen and ace -- how do you do it right, without arrousing suspision? If these are too lame, I'm sorry, I'm new to all of this. Please help me. thanx. |

Hrmm...
Sounds to me like you've looked up some website that has a David Blaine trick explained.. If you want to learn magic you have to start at the begining. If you're interested in cards then go and buy "royal road to card magic" or "card college volume one". And a deck of cards wont go amiss either. |

...just look them in the eye. Dont give them a chance to look at the cards.
I agree - pick up Card College by Giobbi. It is a wonderful set of books. You'll learn everything from palms, to the pass. Just get one book, read it cover - to - cover then practice. Finally get the next and repeat! Best of luck. -Casey |

True.
I'm sure some of us stumbled upon the beauty of magic by actually finding out how a trick was done and then saying, "Hey...this magic stuff is really a piece of art!" And thus we get hooked Dima1948, my advice to you is to learn magic as a subject. And that means serious study and practice. Books and videos are a good way to learn. Sites that expose such secrets MAY BE interesting, but they don't tell the whole story behind what magic is about. Best of luck, Logan

Hey if you have a question let me know I can send your boat in the right direction. If you practice it doesn't take long to start scaring people. If you work hard you will give them something truly magical. I love the smiles people give you when you have touched them, and then when you magic for them it's alot better
Be true to your art, and it will be true to you

But we try not to expose the secrets because their are lurkers too looking for answers. If you are sincerely interested in card magic, start with a good book. I suggest Robert Giobbi's Card College series. To spend over $100 down a set of books may sound expensive to beginners so just start off with vol. 1. |

Dear Mr gilbreath76
Most people don't even know what a double, triple, or quad lift is. I have gone to a person and told them that i just did a double lift and they say, What is that. And if they know what a double lift if then there is no worry in saying double lift. (oops sorry) To Dima1984 A good book too learn the secret move to the trick you mentioned and a lot more is Now you see it now you don't It has a lot of good stuff in there and a lot of good illustrations to. Good luck on your quest to find the right book to learn the U KNOW WHAT. Bye for now Brad
