Howdy all,
I perform as a Singing Cowboy (Roy Rogers style) mostly but recently added a Magical Comedy Cowboy portion to my act for the young-uns. I'm always looking for Cowboy/Western related material to use in my act. I've seen the linking barbed wire rings and have several rope routines but if ya know of anymore, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Southwest Sam

How about disappearing silver bullets. or even do something with a mask. I can give you ideas. but you'll have to decide what you can and can't do. Don,

I've seen a trick where you shoot a deck of cards, and the selected card ends up with a 'bullet' hole through it. Can't rememember what the trick is called, but it certainly has potential in a western style show. Anyone know the name of it or where to get one?

Any time Sam. Maybe you can make a horse disappear as well. Or a covered wagon. Or you can tell the joke about the Lone Ranger and Tonto too.

Actually that trick is called "Deadshot" and its a Hank Lee exclusive. That routine would be great with a Western theme.

Those linking rings that look like they are made of barb-wire should be perfect.
Steven's carries them among other dealers now. |

As long as you are working with a 10 gallon hat, maybe you could combine it with a lota bowl type of effect and see how many gallons of water you can get out of it! Leave it on the table in full view, and as a running gag just run over to the side of the stage/performing area and empty it out every now and then. Maybe have a big clear bucket you pour it into with a full line marked "10 GALLONS" in big red letters, and say you just want to check if it really holds that much...

Yeah, that sounds good. And you can combine the 10 gallo in Lota with a hat contructed like a foo can.

I perform a Modern Art that is made up to look like a Saloon and then becomes an Outhouse all done while I am being cut in half by my assistant. I also perform "the Dalton Boys" by Paul Osborne as mentioned in an earlier post.

How about a dancing Stick Horse? I have never seen it but I bet you could work it out and it would be original!
