I been working with stoges and two different
other routines when a stoge wasn´t in need - but I´m not satisfied with any of these - is there anyone that can tip me either where to find a good routine without a stoge involved or give some ins and outs on this subject. Thanks |

Joe Porper and I have created a totally new ring and a routine that is far easier to do than the Himber type routines, no stooge needed and it is still available at http://www.hocus-pocus.com or http://www.stevensmagic.com
Check it out.

Thanks Pete
Yes I´ve seen this advertised, never live performed. I understand that it´s superduper quality. Since I have two different Himber rings I´m curious if there is anyone out there that has a idea using the old himber? |

Check out the routine in Harry Anderson's book. It uses 2 Himber's I believe.
Get the Himber ring routine tape from Stevens Magic. It has several presentations on it. http://www.stevensmagic.com There are some other routines available. Check out L&L Pub has a routine by a mentalist Richare Osterlind. Everyone says his is a good routine. I have had it for some time when he published his video tape. I think it lacks openness in handling. Just my observation. http://www.llpub.com |

Well, I disagree! But, that's my opinion!

I disagree that Richard's lacks openness. I've seen "top-name" pros doing the Himber ring routine and have more cover time and "putzing around" with the rings during the dirty work than Richard's handling has.
But that is just my opinion. Rick

One of these days I hope to see Osterlind's routine. Those that "know" tell me it is excellent.
There are a lot of ROUTINES... Nick Lewin's (in cabaret) kills too... the worst handling I've seen was Kreskin, but he got a standing ovation. What does that tell you? IT IS A GREAT EFFECT.

Osterlind's looks a lot more open than what I saw on Mondo Magic last night.
I don't do that routine so correct me if I'm wrong but that handling seemed pitiful.

I have and have used Richard's routine.
Excellent, excellent--I also have way of handling the routine by using a brandy sniffer to hold the rings. I also link the rings to the stem of the glass and show it to the leach oaner to verify. Richard Lyn |

"Didn't have time" -- yah, only got the rings like a DAY before the shoot... too bad. Timing is everything they say.

I really need to see Richard's routine, sometime. The best I've seen was performed by Craig Karges. It's excellent!
Jerry Mentzer has an excellent routine in his Standup Lecture Notes. |
