I was just wondering, is this easy to cary around or is it a trick that takes time to set up? and are the materials used to build it easy to find? please answer all questions if possible.

- This is relatively easy to carry around. It becomes much easier if you're wearing a coat.
- The setup for this is a couple of seconds. Once you've built the gimmick, it can be carried around and done just about whenever. - The materials are relatively easy to find. A quick trip to Home Depot or Lowe's (or maybe even a quick bout of dumpster diving) and you'll be all set. If you're going to do this on the street, do it in front of a wall. The surrounded method looks too fishy, in my opinion. |

Wow thanks Im going to get this. Is it easy to perform?

This is easy on the technical side, however performing it to gain the best reactions may take 20 minutes of your time.
By the way, you're going to laugh when you see the photo that goes with the 'Here's How It's Done' section of the manuscript. At least, I did. |

Depending on how you perform it, it can be a gag or it can be done to really freak people out.

My friend had an idea to up the "freak out factor, by taking a pump, (like a squirting rose), and filling it with blood, and have a fountian of blood. I've never proformed it, but I made one up. I had everything in my room to make it. I'm planning on adding a few more touches to it.

You need a trench coat to perform ghost bills?

No, Ghost Bills is completely impromptu, I am sure that AqueousMagiK was refering to the surroundable version of bisection (which doesn't require a trench coat...I have done it with a sport coat before). Hope that clears up the confusion.

One of my freinds preformed bisection and I love it! the gimmick does look really easy to build. He tucked a hankercheif into his shirt collar and said he would make it dissapear. And he did, quite litteraly.

Sorry, in my last post I was confused, and thought that this thread was about Pocket Sawing in Half instead of Bisection. Bisection can be done with a sport coat(with some difficulty), but a curtain or trench coat is recommended. For the surroundable version a hula hoop-like cloth is needed. Sorry if I confused anyone.

Can I ask if the gimmick is "3d", or is it flat? This is something I can not see from a picture.

My son had a friend spend the night last weekend, I did the rope thru body and then bisection, while in bisection mode I took a couple steps towards the both of them and the poor kid bolted upstairs and wouldn't come back down...HAHAHA!!!

The gimmick is 100% 3d. I own it but have not performed it. It's easy to build and takes very little practice. I just have not found the right circumstance to perform it yet. I need a reason for 1/2 my body to disappear. How about this?
I do Andrew Maynes "Bowling ball from an empty paper sack" as explained in his Shock FX DVD. The bowling ball scares my assistant as it falls out of the paper sack and I ask for her to retrieve it for me. "Oh, I'll retrieve it alright" she says. She brings it toward me as I cover 1/2 my body with my jacket... She throws the bowling ball at me but because 1/2 my body is gone, it sails over my pants and lands behind me. I then raise the cloth and lower it to show I am back as I exclaim "Don't make me do that again"! |

Muzicman..that is a very cool idea! I have Bisection as well, and I just may have to incorporate something like that!

The timing would have to be right, As she began the motion to heave the ball, You would do Bi-Section, then immediately go back to normal. I think I'll work on this, I think it would be a great illusion and a great sight gag. it also combines 2 tricks into 1.
