David Williamson came up with a way of pulling the signature off the signed card. This is very funny to see and can also be used as a means of getting a duplicate signature from the spectator.

I did 'signed card on celing' for a friend, first 'public' appearance of the trick for me. She's quite bright and I was sure she'd work it out, but no. The card stayed up all evening and she just kept looking at it.
Wow that made me feel good. I've also done Ambitious card with a mercury fold finsih (thanks Jay Shankey) and that got a really good receiption too. I agree with Jay though that this dhould be the end of your routine as it's really hard to follow.

I enjoy doing my signed card in any balloon. Inspired by Mark Jenest's bill in balloon.

Metwin,
You can spend anything from zero on upwards on various signed card effects. Any one of them is only as good as you can sell it, though. And, frankly, to my mind, none of them is worth what is charged for them! I like Brad Burt's thinking, about having any selected card signed. While table hopping at one place, I had the card in my version of the Ambitious Card signed; then, when it was revealed for the final time, I pinned it up on the wall; this brought the regulars back with new customers to see "their" card and to have me do it for their friends. BTW, if you want a superb routine with a double signed card (man and woman -- showing the "bond" between them), e-mail me and I'll gladly send it to you for free. Same to anyone else reading this. |

Brad, thanks for the expansion on the concept. I agree that having a good "out" is better than getting into an argument at any time and it's likely that she would have given the guy a hard time, regardless - even if she had fingerprinted the deck!
That's what I like about things like the Invisible deck - it's a perfer cover for those times when a spectator will do something to mess with you while you're working. Been there, done that, got the hat, the T-shirt, the bumper sticker and almost got the tattoo! Thanks for the kind words and the expansion. great thinking! Lee Darrow, C.H.
