I found These Baby Blue "Tiger" style decks at a local Target. They were two dollars a piece. They were also made in Bicycle back and made by the U.S. Playing Card Co. I wanted to know if any of you fine folks have seen the deck in any other styles?

I have to go to Target tomorrow. I will take a look.
Are they regular Bike backs? |

They are but with a strange border. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

How is the quality/handling of the cards? Are they standard size as well?

Yes they are made by the us playing co and are the exact same as the regular bikes we know and love. They are the same as a regular poker deck in every way except the tone and style of the ink. There pretty sweet...
~Anton~ By the way check out the thread under penny for your thoughts on Max Mavens Stolen Look... I know this isn't card suff but none the less effects us all in this game of perception... read what Banacheck has written carfuly. ~Anton~ |

I picked up 2 of these decks at target on saturday. Indeed similar to the original tigers, in that all suits are printed in white, and the rest of the face and back in a UNC-type blue. Same finish, poker size, etc. For me, they evoke a snowy kind of feeling, perhaps its a wintery idea from USPC. I'll try to get some scanned and posted today.

I just got a deck the other day at Target. Very nice! But they're baby blue, so they make me think, "It's a boy!"

Are they Target exclusives?

I went to a nearby target and they didn't have any, but they had these "designer back" bicycles, they had a trendy green/purple polka dot design...kinda ugly if you ask me. I'll check another target later for the blue decks

Isn't it more important that you use the same kind of deck all the time and get used to it over hundreds of performances as opposed to switching to tally-ho's because the kid that drools and picks his nose at the magic shop says they're better, then switch to black tigers becuase somebody that wears sunglasses at night says he gets all the chicks becuase of them, then switch to blue tigers and then to Jerry's Nuggets, and then Studs, and then .......
Let's be honest with ourselves. Shall we? What? Oh... it's all about getting chicks? I stand corrected. My appologies. Can anyone tell me if Black Tigers are sexier than Jerry's Nuggets cards to the chicks? I need to spend money! Frank

While that last remark was cute, I see nothing wrong with having a deck that compliments an outfit. It is one of those small professional touches that add to your persona.

Or having cards that match your name.
i.e. Someone named Joe Green uses Green backed cards. |

Yeah I use tallys because I like the back desgin and I think they are of slightly better quality than Bikes.

Never used a deck of Tally Ho cards.
The way some people talk about them makes me think I'm missing the greatest thing since pasteboard its self. |

I actually heard that TAlly Ho's and Bikes are made of the EXACT same stock and that there is basically no difference... any more. There used to be... but not anymore.
I wonder if anyone can confirm this, for real. Paul Green uses lots of green props. I know people that have purchased lots of decks to suit their personna. I think this is ok too. As long as you're not bouncing around like a jack-in-the-box at the latest whim of the marketeers. And thanks for thinking my post was cute. I strive for cuteness.
