Wilbur gave it to me. I've been known as MR. Ed most of my adult life. My real Name is Ed Groleau. Perhaps I shall change it my "Handle" to my real name.

Oh, you mean my "screen name"!

Well, oddly enough, I was born with it!

I was going to say, for Peter, his screen name involves the birds and the bees and about nine months but that is for another forum.

What about yours KingStarDog is it a MLB song reference?

Mine is actually my stage name which is just a play - of course - on extreme.

My reasoning for doing this is that it is easier for spammers to find your home email address by searching your name in a data base.

I used my name for awhile then I started getting porn spam, the subject being "Shawn check out this porn site." Try explaining why you are getting personally addressed porn, to your wife, especially when you work with numerous anti-child porn groups on the internet.

Mine came from the early days of the net. I was a cyber warrior in several online games. I had quite a group of scores so everybody and their brother started a spin on my name to advance up the ladder and play the more skilled gamers claiming they were me. The end result was....I became King, and they came up with their own names. Smile

MiNiM is my stage name when I work as a magician. I chose it for

1) it's a musical term and I'm a musician,

2) it's a palindrome - it's spelt the same both ways, so I have a bit of fun with kids with a sort of turning name routine based on the Chinese Compass trick, and

3)I'm naturally inclined to a minimalist approach (I have to fight against a tendency to think that I could maybe do shows with no props whatsoever!)

Cheers,

Bill

MiNiM,

It's no problem to do shows with no props whatsoever ... as long as you are willing to do them with no audiences whatsoever.

Material like that frequently gets me a walking ovation.

Which is not so bad if they aren't walking toward you.

Cordially,

Sid

Mine is a combo name/knickname that I am called in life.

Bro! And Brother David are the two names that I hear myself being called in Worship and fellowship in a mixed cultural environment.

And so I respond quite comfortably to them and I just jammed them together for my screen name.

Hmmm...Missing Link is actually pseudonym of a pseudonym - I also have a stage name as well as the one I was born with. My show publicity described me as "the missing link between man and lunacy". Nothing at all to do with Neanderthal man. Honest. I don't have any facial hair for a start - fire eating put pay to that!

cheers

When I was born, my parents ran out of ideas. Houdini was taken, Peter Marucci was/is being used, and I believe Bobo was just too strange for a baby of the early 1980's. So early last year before my 17th birthday, they sat me down last year and looked me in the eye. Then they turned to each other... "You know what, lets just call it Brian."

So, here I am. Smile

Ich, I told you to lay off those sandiwiches. Smile

I got mine from the classic comic "Jon Sable". It spent about a season as a TV series in the 80s too.

I got my name from constantly being called a CardSharp when I pull a trick at card games. As you can probably guess I don't get invited to play cards that often.

In 1978 I was a resident of the Bugs Bunny motel (now defunct) in Denver and being taught to juggle by Rolick Mountbanke. After a particularly brutal juggling session we feasted on fried baloney sandwiches and in a sudden fit of inspiration Rolick, who worked as Swami Amazo, dubbed me "Swami Bill". The rest is even more obscure history.
That's MISTER Swami Bill to you.
