I was at http://www.crissangel.com and I was browsing the demos.
And all of a sudden the dude walks up the wall!I have got to admit this is one of the coolest tricks I have ever seen! But can someone tell me if this was a camera trick or he really did it for a audience? Thanks alot!I would really appreciate it!

Criss Angel is the only two time reciepient of the magician of the year. And yes that illusion can be performed for an audience but it requires and enormous setup.

I find this guy weird. He sits his bottoms on the grave of the legendary Houdini. No respect.

That is such a revealing portrait of a self absorbed man with not a shred of decency or respect for Houdini.

I think it's great when people think they have the right to determine how someone else can honor someone they idolize. Stop sitting around judging others and find your own way to honor someone you admire. It's just so easy to rip on the guy because you think he's a long haired devil worshipper, isn't it? He went to great lengths on that video to express his admiration for Houdini and the showman he was. He admired Houdini because Houdini did whatever it took to get the reaction he wanted from his audience. Criss honored him by performing some of the same type of stunts. He even hung himself from hooks. That's dedication, I don't care who you are. Instead of ripping on someone you don't like and trying to invent problems with the guy, work on getting a life so you are too busy to throw cheap shots at someone you don't even know.

Well in response to paisa23 Supernatural is my favorite. And you shoudln't judge the man until you have met him. He is and extremely nice guy with a lot of respect for the art.

I think that Supernatural has some cool effects in it and is a good one to get first. As a second purchase, I'd get Made In Japan. It's a neat documentary type of his trip to Japan.
I believe we have both in stock at the shop. Give us a call if you're interested. Sam The Trick Shop (866)MAGIC-04 |

Supernatural has that wicked cool coin in the arm. What a great trick (similar to needle thru arm)

I have long hair... I like heavy metal music...... I like the Needle thu arm, and other cool effects like that. Do I worship the devil? If you saw me on the street, you would think I'm nothing other than a Freshman idiot blending in. Not hardly. I am the only person in My entire school that I know off that does Magic.I really like it, and have much respect for those who have come befor me to create great effects (Dia Vernon, Copperfeild, Houdini, Burton.....) So, don't judge a book by its cover. Have I made my point?

Rock on liltut!
No matter how hard someone tries to create their own character and persona and be a true artist, there will always be those jealous and intimidated by their success. And those people can only feel better about themselves by insulting others. The worst part of the internet is the creation of these cyber-mudslingers who spend their time whipping negativity around like crazy. THEY are the ones who have no respect for magic. Criss Angel has done more for magic than any one of us on this thread, myself included, but the jealous and intimidated invent ways to hurt him. The fact that Criss went so out of his way to show his respect for Houdini by not only using up valuable time in his special (when he could have just used that time to show himself performing some more), he even took the time to create his own unique tribute to Houdini by performing his own stunt which was a combination of 2 of Houdini's, shows that he has immense respect for him. But some only see long hair and leather pants, nothing more. It personally makes me sick just how judgemental some people are in this world. Just because I don't personally care for the style of the "classical" magician in tuxedo and bow tie, does NOT make it okay for me to come on a public board and insult those that like that style. I can dislike a character or persona and still have respect for the magician behind the cumberbund. Unfortunately, many in our community have not yet evolved to that level of tolerance. |

Look at the photograph of Criss Angel on Houdini's grave. Study the body language, particularly his feet and the position of his hands. Criss Angel is showing nothing but care and respect (almost love) for Houdini. Some people just don't get it. I saw the Criss Angel special and recognised a lot of houdini in what he did although not as fully as The Levitator. Thanks for the extra info James, a lot of things fell into place after reading your post.

Need we remind everyone that HOUDINI was an egomaniac who tried to trash his own idol with "The Unmasking of Robert-Houdin?"

Levitator, Kinesis I don't care what either of you say, draping yourself over and galavanting on top of someones gravestone is no sign of respect. And don't give me this "don't judge him, how dare you judge the way this man shows respect" stuff. that's a load of crap.
I don't care how much "respect" or even "love" he has for the man. You don't go climbing around on someones tombstone. Its not a freaking jungle gym, or some plaything for anyone to use for their own amusement. Its not put there to be used as a pedestal for people to perch themselvs atop. Just because someone says you are overflowing with respect dosen't mean you get a free pass when you act like a idiot. If I say I'm doing it out of respect would it be ok for me to pee on Dai Vernons grave? Get real. Levitator says; "Just because I don't personally care for the style of the "classical" magician in tuxedo and bow tie, does NOT make it okay for me to come on a public board and insult those that like that style. I can dislike a character or persona and still have respect for the magician behind the cumberbund. Unfortunately, many in our community have not yet evolved to that level of tolerance." Just so there is no mistake levitator I have no problem with his "character" or his "persona". Understand? I don't respect him and its not because of how he dresses or the type of magic he does. Let us be very clear, it is the MAN, the kind of person that uses someones gravestone as a plaything and pedestal that sickens me. The person and the things he chooses to do, and nothing else.

I haven't seen anything here where anyone said something derogatory about Criss Angel based on his appearance. Not one post. Angel has repeatedly attacked David Blain in the media. How is this doing a service for magic? He has called himself the "greatest provocateur in magic"...how is this not egotistical? Do I think he is egotistical? Yes. But then again....look at his idol. Houdini was probably the most egotistical man in the history of magic. |
