Just wanted to give a heads up to any magicians who love graphic novels. If you haven't found "Jar of Fools" by Jason Lutes, you're really missing a gem! It's a wonderful, poignant story about a young magician who is haunted by the death of his escape artist brother, and the relationship he has with his mentor, an elderly magician who used to be famous on stage but who is now in a nursing home and dealing with memory loss. They form an unlikely bond with a con man and his young daughter and, well, you just gotta read it! The artwork is beautiful and the story is great. Also, for those of you who are Tintin fans (like me) there is a brief, obvious tribute to Tintin in the second act. Really a lovely book.
