Topic: Card trick gone crazy...

I was once performing "The Whispering Queen" for a friend of mine. About halfway through the trick, I told her I'd put the Queen on my lap so she couldn't see the card my friend would pick. At that point, my friend quipped: "Shouldn't it be the King on your lap?" (I'm one of the few and the proud female magicians.) I had to let her pick out a King and put it on my lap instead of a Queen. Thus, the trick became "The Whispering King." Talk about a mix up!

Did you end up forever changing the way you presented the effect, or did you instead retire the effect?

Daffy- I ended up changing the presentation. Something about the title "Whispering Queen" seems to drive people nuts. I have no clue what it is, but it has resulted in quite a few hilarious moments for me.

Hi

I have changed many routines to suit my gender.

For an adult audience fun can be had with two red sponge balls.
