So it has come and gone.
He's still quite cute as
ever, even at 80.
Still sharp as a tac too!

Happy Solar New Year!

Nice to see the pic of "Chinese Louie" -- I sure always enjoyed seeing him in those "days" when I used to come through Chicago and stay in the Charlie Miller Suite. Please give him my love!

You are the first person to mention the
Charlie Miller Suite!

Not many people have no clue what it is.

You rock!

I have really enjoyed following these posts and the pictures as well. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Almost as good as being there. I hope he has another 80 birthdays!

Yes, the Chalie Miller Suite.... too hot in the summer and brrrrrrrrrrrrr in the winter, but I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.

The FUNNIEST all time thing to happen there was at one of Fran's Celebration conventions.

Jay's parents were in the CM Suite... I was sleeping on a cot between the suite and the bathroom, and behind a 3-fold screen, on another cot, was Pat Page.

OK, middle of the night Jay's mom comes out and goes INTO the bathroom. Pat Page THOUGHT it was ME... so he gets up (is stark Naked) and tiptoes around planning to get INTO MY BED... he is in plain sight standing there as the door opens and Jay's mother comes out of the bathroom!

I nearly wet the bed laughing so hard and poor Pat just stood there frozen in his tracks!!!

But did you get her to pick a card?

That's a funny story.
I told that to my p's.
I could imagine the look
on Mrs. Marshall's face!
