Topic: Magic in Chicago?
Message: Posted by: Ron Reid (Mar 15, 2006 10:29AM)

I'll be making my first trip ever to Chicago on April 29 to May 4th. I'm going to a convention related to my work, so my days will be full, but my nights are free. I'm staying downtown at the Doubletree. I know practically nothing about Chicago other than Magic Inc. is there (somewhere).

Can anyone give me an idea of magic shows/shops/events in the area? I won't have a rental car.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to this.

Neil Tobin (Necromancer) has a show in Chicago. The have dates listed here until April 14th with more to be announced. I haven't seen the show but I've read some of the write ups and stuff. It looks good.

Thanks for the plug, Vandy Grift!

Ron, you can find a listing of places to go and people to see in town at http://www.MagicalChicago.com

It's constantly being updated, so check back often.

Safe travels,

That's very helpful. Thank you - both of you!

Hi Ron-
You are invited to visit Magic Inc. We will be open that weekend. Might I suggest stopping in on that Sunday? I would be more than happy to give you a tour of the place. I just hosted a magician/ book collecter who was in for a convention. He was so delighted at 80 years of stock Magic Inc. has that he spent nearly a thousand dollars! A shameless plug I know...but gosh darnit...somebody has to do it! PM me if you have any questions.
