Hello there,

I'm Neil Marriott from Oxfordshire in merry old England. I'm 17 and am in my final year of studying A-levels before going onto college and university.

I think i've always been into magic as it has always attracted my attention when and wherever i've seen it. My first memorable experience of it was probably when my aunt made a coin appear from behind my ear when I was at an early age.

I got my first magic set at around 7 years old and I remember practicing a show for my sister's 6th birthday party :) In the past year or so my want to practice magic again reappeared with my dabbling in card tricks I found floating around the internet and have now began purchasing books and visiting magic shops to help me progress further.

My main reason for my love of magic is for the entertainment of other people and the responses I get. This was proven to me the other week when I was playing around with cards in my sixth form common room and performing a few simple key card locations. The responses I got were really great and its pleases me that i'm helping to entertain others :D

I love magic in all its forms and I hope to help experience and learn more about it through this forum and the people who inhabit it.

Cya at the messageboards :wavey:

Hi Neil,

You will have to keep us posted on happenings in "Merrie Olde England, I am always interested in the magic specials your BBC runs. Over here in Canada one of our stations ran about 3 years worth of John Daniel. Really enjoyed him. Who is new and on the tele over there?

To be honest there's not a lot of magic on our screens at present as it's mainly just been the 'David Blaine' and 'Masked Magician' shows on repeat over christmas. However there was a 'Derren Brown' mentalist marathon on the other night which was pretty cool.

Oh and Paul Daniels is on 'Ready, Steady, Cook' :)
