Topic: Riddle Me This?
Message: Posted by: McAllisterMagic (Jun 24, 2007 09:33AM)
I thought I would post a couple of riddles.
" The More Of Me, The Less You See. What Am I?"

" Without Sunlight, I Can't Be. What Am I?" ( This one tricked me, I thought it was sort of dumb at first.)

So take a stab at it guys, also feel free to post your own riddles :)

Cheers

Well, both of those could be given the same answer: "shadow"

Or the first one darkness, the second one day.

Actually, lots of answers are possible for the second one.

Hardly "shadow" on the second one since I'm seeing a shadows right now without any sunlight present at all. Photosynthesis perhaps?

"Fog" could be the answer to the first one.

"The More Of Me, The Less You See. What Am I?"

Hmmmmm....could the answer to this riddle be a cataract?

No idea what the answer is to the second riddle.

Here's a couple from my childhood.

What goes down the chimney up, but up the chimney down?

I can take you up, or down, or round and round. Yet I always stay in one place. What am I?

Well, for the more of me the less you see one... it's obviously a burger! Of course it will be eaten before anyone else see's it(well at least with me anyways)! LOL! But yea I agree with Philemon on this one! It could be fog or something like that!

The second one could be the sun couldn't it, I mean if there was no sunlight, it wouldnt be called the sun now would it!?

And for clynim, could the answer be like the world, or gravity... or maybe like a damper or whatever it's called...

Flekka. A naughty galleon?

Clynim. An umbrella?

McAllister: Your cap when you sit in front of me at the cinema & a clear view of the moon?

George

P.S. A cataract is my favourite response

Magicgeorge, you got the answer to the first riddle, now does anyone care to guess the answer to the second?: I can take you up, or down, or round and round. Yet I always stay in one place. What am I?

Flekka, I'm going to guess that the answer is a globe.

Magicgeorge/clynim
what sits in the corner but can travel around the world = A STAMP

CLYNIM, Knew it was a umbrella but it should read,....
what can go up a chimney down, but cannot come down a chimney up,
good guess of a globe though,

The more of me the less you see: darkness, myopia, tape over your eyes Lennart-Green-style.

Without sunlight, I can't be: solar energy.

Thanks for the clarification, Flekka. I knew it didn't look right, but wasn't sure why.
