From Friday the 6th of July to Friday the 13th of July, Chicago's reputedly haunted Excalibur nightclub will host an unholy alliance of art and performance never before seen.

The Halloween Art Exhibit, the national showcase of Halloween art, will be joined by the interactive paranormal theatre of Supernatural Chicago. Info and RSVP at http://www.SupernaturalChicago.com

Oh yes and while you are in town...go see The Magic Cabaret...Neil Tobin's SECOND favorite show in town!

Great news! The response from audiences and critics alike has been so enthusiastic, The Magic Cabaret will be extended past July 10! ALL SUMMER LONG, magic fans will gather at the Biograph Theater, where they will be enchanted by the finest magicians in the Windy City! Join us on Tuesday nights at 8:00, and experience what The Chicago Reader called "astounding feats of prestidigitation"!

If you're planning an evening at The Magic Cabaret, we recommend ordering your tickets early because the show is selling out every week. And if you saw the show in June, come see our wonderful new guest performer, Benjamin Barnes, who will be with The Magic Cabaret for the shows on July 10, 17, 24 and 31.

More guests are on the way!

"Low on hokum and high on thoughtfulness, this evening shows magic to its best advantage, up close and personal." -- The Chicago Reader

"Treading the tightrope between illusion and reality, Murphy and Parr make art of magic." -- The Daily Herald

I hear that things were especially spooky last Friday. How did the show go?

Thanks for asking, P.T. It went over great!

The audience was very playful: laughed during the funny parts, concentrated intensely during the serious parts, and got good and spooked by the end of it. Afterward, I stuck around and gave tarot and palmistry readings until midnight and showed off the cool artwork courtesy of the Halloween Art Exhibit.

I know I had a great time -- and check out what the audience members had to say at Metromix.com

P.S. See you there sometime soon?
