Topic: Can anyone here look over my bill switch?
Message: Posted by: THEGUY26 (Will Swanson) (Sep 25, 2007 11:26AM)
I have a bill switch I made not too long ago. It is basically a 3 phase switch. First, the bill slowly and visually changes to another bill. Then, it changes back instantly with no cover. There is also a bonus that you can do at the end of the switch.

Is anyone who has a lot of experience with bill switches who can look this over? It is sort of a brief explanation, but it should be good enough.

Anyone?

Where is it? Would love to look it over but you need to post it.

Am I suppoed to just let anyone see it? That's definantly not going to happen.

You certainly don't tell the secret to everyone. You can ,however, tape your performance and put it on youtube. Glenn

Yes, but I don't have a working video camera. Right now, I want people experienced with the bill switch, so I can make it better.

Lights camera action.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this, and only talked to people about this in PM's. This isn't for just anyone to see or learn. I am trying to put the finishing touches on it, and extra subleties.

I just Emailed an explanation of the switch to John Lovick, so he would definantly know what it needs.

THAT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA.

I also sent this to Jay Sankey, and he likes it.

Also send it to the President of The United States and all the Assitant Managers in McDonald's in China.

Ok.

The President wouldn't get it.

The switch is excellent..... If you’re on a radio show.

Why would you ask for an opinion or critique and not show a performance.
Message: Posted by: THEGUY26 (Will Swanson) (Sep 30, 2007 09:38PM)
I don't have a working video camera. For the people that are helping with it, I sent them a written explanation. Could a mod please lock this topic? People aren't understanding why I posted this.
Message: Posted by: Review King (Oct 2, 2007 07:22AM)
The topic is now locked, unless someone has something further to post.

I read this original post and kept waiting for the punch line.
Now I realize there is no punch line.

What are you talking about? I posted this, because I needed help. I have had a few peoplehelp, and I really appreciate that. This topic did do something.

Yes,

I waisted about 90 seconds of my life.
When you're ready to show, I'd love to see it.
Message: Posted by: THEGUY26 (Will Swanson) (Nov 18, 2007 02:01AM)
I can't show it to anyone. I don't have a video camera, and it's not 100% done yet. I would really like someone to lock this thread, but not delete it. People aren't understanding why I'm making this topic.

It's like saying "I am thinking of something, can you help me with it."

Pray tell, why can't you just describe your presentation as it would be seen my an audience. No one is asking you you to tell the big secret.

Bob

I'm asking for help in PM's. For the people who can help, they send a PM, and I give them a written explanation of the switch. Didn't I describe the switch in my first post?
Message: Posted by: evolve629 (Nov 18, 2007 07:24PM)
Yes, you did! :)

LOL, reading through all these posts has to be the funniest thing I have read on the Café, I couldn't stop my self from LOL, and feeling sorry for Will at the same time. Well I hope that the PM's you have received have been of some help.

All The Best

Do you eblong to a magic club? If so sho show it thre? Or go to a brick/mortar shop.

Verbal descriptions do nothing. somone has to see it. Where do you live?
Message: Posted by: THEGUY26 (Will Swanson) (Nov 19, 2007 04:41PM)
I live in Minnesota, I have no one to show it to (except laymen).

This really is a hilarious thread. I've been laughing so much that my wife asked me if everything was okay.

Will - hope you get some good insights into the bill switch you're working on. As a general rule, I don't do too much "paper money" magic. But a good bill switch is one of magic's perfect effects - the effect is not just amazing, but there is motivation for the effect that goes beyond magic for magic's sake.

Love the idea of a coverless switch. Can't remember the name of the switch that was advertised on penguin produced by one of Blaine's consultants, but I thought it was pretty magical. Anything similar?

Well, the second phase is in fact a switch that's already out there, but I just put it in as a follow up to my switch, since you're in the position already. Why does everyone think this is a funny thread?
Message: Posted by: joejonesonline (Nov 22, 2007 02:45PM)
I thought it was funny based on the comments that people were making and your responses to them as well. Maybe I'm just crazy. Too hungry for turkey, perhaps.

Send me a PM if you are interested in a video.

I want to take out white paper strips from a wallet and change to money/ bills holding them out arms length on small stage.
Message: Posted by: THEGUY26 (Will Swanson) (Nov 23, 2007 01:58PM)
This isn't meant for stage.
Message: Posted by: joejonesonline (Nov 23, 2007 09:20PM)
Wally,

I'm sure you can come up with that type of effect. I've seen a coverless bill switch done with a check before - thought that was pretty neat, btw. I'm sure the same can work with blank paper.

This thread is hilarious...lol

I cant explain why but I know exactly what others are talking about. Will, you just seem really awkward in your posts. Like farting in a crowded elevator awkward. Then looking around and saying "what, whats wrong? Um, can we stop this elevator?"....I don't mean to have a laugh at your expense but your posts and the responses were pretty funny.

Could you give an example?
