Wow! Duffie fans rejoice! Last week an ebook and this week two more terrific effects from the fertile mind of Peter Duffie.

Shadow Zone -- A really cool stapled card effect. There's a subtle convincer in this effect that's killer! Watch the demo. As with most of Peter's tricks, I had to watch the demo twice to catch onto what might be going on.

Loyal Flush -- A very cool packet trick. Simple premise with a ubber creative method. There's a demo for this, too.

Looks like two more winners from Peter. And the price is unbeatable.

Hi Cameron,

Can you please perhaps describe how the effects look like as I am using a slow internet connection? Thanks!

Sure!

Shadow Zone -- The magician displays a small pay envelope with a large hole cut through the center. Four Jacks are introduced and placed on the table. A card is freely selected and signed. This is also placed on the table.

The selected card is placed between the two red jacks and the two black jacks are placed into the envelope. You clearly see both jacks in the envelope. A stapler is introduced and the two black jacks are stapled together through the hole in the envelope.

The red jacks are displayed with the selected card between them. The magician attempts to make the selection disappear but fails every time. The selected card is turned over. It is now a black jack! The cards are removed from the envelope and the selection is now stapled to the other black jack!

Loyal Flush -- The magician displays six cards: three blank faced cards and three invisible (imaginary) cards. The invisible cards are handed to a spectator. The magician takes one of the invisible cards and inserts it into his face down packet. When the card is run through, it becomes a visible ace of clubs. Two more invisible cards are run through and they become the king and queen of clubs. The magician then vanishes one of his cards as he only need five cards, not six. His last two cards are turned over. They are now the jack and ten of clubs, making a perfect royal flush!

Hope that helps!

I like the principle used for the convincer. Is this a new idea or has it been done before?

I clicked the link and it took me to some other strange page. It is close to halloween, though
