Topic: Pete Biro update
Message: Posted by: Terry Holley (Oct 14, 2007 04:51PM)
I know this thread doesn't really fit here, and another thread was started in another area of the Magic Café, but I do think it should be mentioned here because of Pete's frequent visits.

It was reported at...

http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=229777&forum=61

...that Pete has suffered a minor stroke.

Here's a word from Dustin Stinnett over at the Genii Forum (3:48 pm Oct. 14)

"I just got off the phone with Pete. He’s doing very well. He’s up and around and in fact had to “hop up to come over to the phone.” He’s already talking about being at Deans for a haircut on Wednesday, “Thursday the latest.”

He says he’ll be back online tomorrow night. He especially wants “the guys at the Café who have paid me” (regarding the cups and balls) to know that he has not forgotten them. So if someone can pass the word over there, he’d appreciate it."

Greetings and Salutations,

In the above postings I've read mention of a book, on the cups and balls, and Pete's involved. Since I've returned to the hallowed halls of acadamia, I don't stop by as frequently as I once did, and I know that a bunch of stuff was lost in a big computer crash.

Is there a new book out on the Cups and Balls.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I can certainly wait for it as I'm now a stone-poor college student, once again, but Christmas is coming! Any word on this work would be greatly appreciated. I tried doing a search using the terms "Pete Biro Cups and Balls Book" and didn't turn up anything that looked relevant. Thanks, in advance, for any info.

Pete! I only just heard you took some time off to visit the hospital. The food there sucks, glad you're back home. Someday you've got to write a book on your Indian cups routine, which is a riot. Though, no body else could probably pull it off as you do.
love,
Jersey Jim

Pete, you're one of the people I've never thanked here, but should have. You've posted many comments along the way steering me, and others, in the right direction. (You were right about Vernon's presentation for Twisting the Aces being best too. That's just one of the things you posted that made me change how I perform a routine).

I'll keep you in my prayers. I hope you're better soon.

Pete,

Get well quickly but methodically. Don't push it...and for certain don't push yourself on that darn book!! I know that you are conscientious but please... first things first!! Your #1 job is to take care of Pete FIRST!! (Priorities don't you know.)

Glad to have you back. We all patiently "stay tooned" and eagerly await news of your current progess (as you have the strength and inclination to post the same).

Best regards,
