Andrew's newest release is a very visual, very cool torn and restored card effect called The Healing Portal.

The effect is this: A card is selected and signed across the face. The magcian makes a large tear in the card. He then splits the deck and tosses the card into the gap whereupon it instantly restores itself. The card may now be examined and kept as a souvenier.

This is a very good effect. The main move used is a Peter Duffie sleight and while not difficult to do will require some practice. It should be noted however that the effect requires the performer to be seated.

A quick, effective and highly visual restoration. This is available through Andrew's site,
http://www.freewebs.com/cardicians or through lybrary.com

On first reading of the transcript, I thought the move impossible and it made me growl. I no longer think it's impossible but that what's needed is heavy misdirection or an alternative switch method.

Fib, if you see the move in action, which you can if you have Peter Duffie's Move Mastery 2, you will see that you need no misdirection at all. The dirty work happens in a split second and the deck provides cover. The move is invisible.

Go to http://www.peterduffie.com and watch the trailer for Move Mastery 2. At around the two minute marker he demos the move,

Hi Cameron,

Thanks for the review. :)

Hi Fib,

Yes, actually the move is not difficult to do at all and also require not heavy misdirection. But, I believe the more you practise it, the more easier you execute the move.

Best,
