Topic: Can I get your opinion?
Message: Posted by: Tony Iacoviello (Jan 19, 2008 02:13PM)
First, I'm not advertising or pushing a product, but would like to get the opinion of the people here on a title.

As I said last year, I was thinking of putting out a compilation of some of my bizarre magick work. Some of the material is of a darker nature, other pieces poke a little fun at the dark side. (Surprise there)

The working title I have is "Evil Eye" and that is what I'd like to get your opinion on. What do you think?

I like it Tony :)

Better than a 'Bad Toe and Knee'

Thanks Eddie

Doug, when you're right, you're right!

Go for it Tony! wishing you all the best...
Message: Posted by: Eddie Garland (Jan 19, 2008 02:38PM)
Better than Pink Eye or Eye Sore.

I'm certain the book will be filled with Evil Eye Candy...so Evil Eye is appropriate.

Through the Eye, darkly?

Pupil?

Really, your idea is better.

I like "The Evil Eye of Tony Iacoviello"
Message: Posted by: Mark Rough (Jan 19, 2008 04:34PM)
Yes, just "Evil Eye". For those that know you, no explanation will be necessary. . . for those that don't, none will suffice. Heh, heh, heh.

Evil Pie...sorry Eye, sounds like a great title. Nice and simple, yet bold as well.
Message: Posted by: ufo (Jan 19, 2008 06:00PM)
Do I like it? Can I pre-order it?
Message: Posted by: Tony Iacoviello (Jan 19, 2008 06:10PM)
Ufo,
Thank you, but no. I don't do preorders and I have not finished compiling it or arranged for advertisment here.

Harlequin,
there will be an "Evil Pie recipe" included. ;)

I have a lock on the 'Demented Eye' (which I'm sure will be in the tome) so that leaves about a quarter million other terms to use with it. I like 'Diseased' but that is a subtitle of my prop. :) heh heh

Tony, like you really needed to ask? Ah, it was rhetorical!!!

Of course we want it!!!!

And Doug, you should have that lock! I love just looking into your eyes (I own several). So, do we have a timeline on your new product?

Thanks Doc. I just wanted to get a feel for what others thought of the name.

Hmmm... I prefer "a twinkle in an evil eye" to an "evil eye" tout court, but perhaps that's just me.

Yes, " Evil Eye " is perfect !

"Evil Eye" works for me.

Particularly if you have a signature effect in the book that involves the evil eye somehow.

How about a piece using multiplying bottles and ending with the guillotine illusion? Of course the story line would have to be adapted a little bit.

The eye's have it.
Perhaps volume 2 could be the eye of the storm, especially if vol 1 is very controversial.

Aha! I didn't think of that. . . but, dang, I'm good.

Actually this little corner seems to have been blessed with peace and tranquility. We get the wandering troll now and again, but generally I think this is the most serene corner of the Café. Don't tell anyone though.

Thank you all.

I'm kinda certain I told him this before as well. I find his writing on Magic really brilliantly dry, funny and very very precise.

Aye, I want more Eye Man!
