It has a bit of "give" but it is not elastic at all.

If it is woolly nylon, and it certainly looks like it is, it can't be used for any invisible elastic thread effects such as loops or The Cloak hookup. Woolly nylon is one of the items one can used for the basic floating dollar effect or for Fearson's hookup for his floating cigarette...and many other effects.
