Topic: Six Months to Mastery
Message: Posted by: mormonyoyoman (Mar 19, 2008 11:16PM)
There's a new course, a weekly course, which will tutor us to become better entertainers -- better magicians -- better clowns -- better whatever-kind-of-entertainer we are. It's from a good friend who has a long and successful career in magic and mentalism. Years of experience. And a track record of previous books which teach magic and teach how to make a living with magic.

It includes bonuses above and beyond the lessons themselves. He'll be teaching effects, presentation, performance -- and the business side of this business. It will last six months. There will be no more than 200 students permitted, so that he might give individual attention where needed. And if 200 people haven't enrolled by the end of April (or was it March?) then enrollment will be closed and the door will be locked.

Over half the slots are filled now, and the prospectus site just opened on 3/18/08 (a few hours ago).

And it's only $10 a month.

Not a week. A month.

I am not an employee. I get nuthin' from this. I'm just a friend who became a friend after seeing some of this guy's work not quite a year ago. And I was very, very impressed with his previous book and recordings. Enough that I was one of the first (if not the first) to sign up for this.

If you enter this and don't agree that you receive much more than your investment, I'll print this message out, center tear it, and eat the center tear.

Really, I trust this to be an amazing six months.

It's an internet course. That's what it sounds like. Millard will work with all participants via email is what I am getting from the ad copy.

I'll say this: I have know Millard Grubb for many years and the guys KNOWS his business. He's the real deal. I have NO connection with Millard in any way other than we are friends, etc.

Millard is one of those guys who is predisposed to 'over deliver' on what he puts out, so if you are interested in seeing how a top flight 'Marketing Expert' has done it then you really may want to consider this course. Best,

I just finished an all-day job a bit north of here, and found a voice mail from Millard letting me know that the site has been fixed. I'll be calling him back in about 30 minutes and testing it myself.

Who in the h*** is Millard Grubb? What are his credentials to teach about magic marketing? Is he lika another "teacher" that had such poor shows that he started the Dave Dee "system?"
Message: Posted by: mormonyoyoman (Mar 30, 2008 03:54PM)
Almost the opposite of Dave Dee type stuff. For one thing, it's not just about marketing; it's also about performing. I know it's easy to get angry and cuss out people who never tried to harm you. Millard was a successful magician and mentalist in the Chicago area who recently moved to Missouri because his father was dying. (You can cuss him out for that too, I suppose.) His book *the Magician's Emergency Toolkit* has been a great seller for Steve Hart's "Magic to Motivate" and has been praised by such folks as Bev Bergeron and Richard Webster. Millard learned from folks such as Frank Everhart, and was actually a speaker at one of Dee's first conferences. But Millard's methods and Dee's were different enough that they sort of went their separate ways.

An earlier post, by Brad Burt, also gave information on who Millard Grubb is.

I wasn't cussing him out, just asking who the heck he is. Suddenly a name pops up teaching something makes you wonder who and what they are.

I purchased this just because of the recommendations from Bev and some of the others - Frank Everhart Jr is a friend of mine, and his dad was a great magician.

I got the first lesson last night via email. I will give my thoughts later on in the course, as I don't think it would be fair otherwise.

C'mon Paddy, you cussed him, tell him your sorry :)

Day 30/31

I'm not into this type of stuff but I know Millard and he is a stand up guy and is very well informed.

Millard has been around since the Brian Flora days, before the Dave Dee popularity. If I recall correctly.

- Donald

P.S. If you google his name, you can find an article about him on Stevens Magic Emporium. I remember that at one time, they used to sell some of his books, etc.

This sounds almost to good to be true I'm looking forward to reading a review of the first lesson, then again its I think I just might start it this week.

CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! - Millard is a SMART Guy... I'd say TRY IT, it's on a "month-to-month" basis, so if you donít find it valuable, (I doubt that is possible, there is a TON of stuff for a lousy $20.00 bucks!) then donít do it again. You cold probably ask for a refund, but again, if you donít fine something worth well more than $20 clams, check your pulse.

Go ahead, take a chance on your success!

OK, I was going to wait until I was further into the course to make sure that it was a fair assessment, but my world, this stuff is good. More than a "just common sense" approach. I have received two lessons and they are fantastic. Very concise and clever, and full of nuances and subtleties . I am very impressed.

I have just started Millard's course and I must say that I am very excited about it. The first lesson was interesting, and appears to begin a progressive series building on a practical foundation. From my perspective as a beginner, I am finally getting a structured means to improve and grow with a definitive direction in mind. I am a pediatric RN in a Major Children's hospital, and I have no plans to quit my day job just yet, but perhaps make it more entertaining for the patients while I develop some skills.

Jay informed me that my original post is sort of out-dated now. The new URL is http://www.magicsuccessnow.com/ and the course is as good as everyone has been telling you.
