Well, I just finished my longest stint of busking. This was 4-5 shows daily for 9 days (Windsor Fringe Festival) It was all sidewalk shows also (no full circles). Amazingly enough I was able to get 40-80 clam hats from each show with small crowds. (except on the Tuesday which I only did 6 the whole day! A good thing there are per diems). Part of our job was to attract attention to the theatre venues for the Fringe and this was it's first year.

Here are some pics taken by a local magazine:

And I particularly like this one as it clearly shows why I do what I do. Check that smile:

In less than a week I'll be heading out to Nova Scotia to the Digby Scallop Days Festival again to do some busking.

Everytime, I go out and learn something new. I haven't really done a sidewalk show before and thusly quickly let my show go down from 45 mins to 30mins or less. Learned a lot about interacting with the noisy environment too. At one point an ambulance pulled up right behind me as I was in my SJ. What a moment I tells ya. Couldn't ask for better timing (they were actually stopping to get some coffee from Starbucks but they were good sports in playing along).

Just wanted to share the fun I had.

I would like just to mention too of two other members here on the Café who also performed, Gwyd and Sylver

They were at a different part of the festival (actually in the Buskerfest whereas I was in the Fringe Festival so they got to do full circle shows)
