Topic: Fearson's Done it Again: Mystic Pizza
Message: Posted by: michaelmystic2003 (Jan 8, 2009 09:15AM)
This sounds really awesome.. I picked one up. Basically, a bunch of your friends specify what they want on a pizza your about to order. suddenly the phone in your house rings, and it's the pizza man! He not only knew you were about to order a pizza, but he also tells you EXACTLY WHAT EVERYBODY WANTED ON IT! This sounds great.

Check it out at http://emagicsupply.com/112.html

I will review this soon.

And it works exactly as you've just described it? Very cool if so!
I could see this coming in handy the next time the boys come over. ;)

This trick made me laugh. The workings of this are very old and have been dressed up with some pizzaz! lol.

"Teleseminar for FREE!" What is that about?

The ad copy states that no assistants are present at the time of the effect. Either way, the pizza actually DOES get delivered to your house too, to provde its "validity".

Sounds great. Can't wait for your review!

What's up with Steve? Last I heard he was quitting magic and adopting a new religion.
Anyways, cons! There has to be some cons to this effect. I'd love to hear what they are!
And last but not least, it said:

"You'll even get a chance to talk to the creator himself, Steve Fearson. He'll be hosing the event, along with a very special surprise guest. Don't miss this rare opportunity!"

Hmmmmmmm. Steve hosing the event? Man that should be interesting! Nasty, but interesting!

Nasty? I'm not sure what you mean!

Not sure what happened with Steve in that regard actually, all I know is that he's back full-force.

I contacted Steve on the matter. He says that Mystic Pizza is a fresh update on an old and outdated principle originated by Al Baker. He's put a modern spin on it and made major improvements, judging by the comparison of both methods.

He also gave me a link to a free tutorial of an effect he published along with Mystic Pizza, Mental Directory, and The Pentalist among others. He has given me permission to post it here to "give everyone a taste of the style of mentalism he works with". A lot of it is modern, practical approaches to classic mentalism principles with some innovative "new work" put into each effect. Here is the video:

Michaelmystic2003,
Are you Steve Fearson? You must be or at least his manager.

You have his latest and greatest in your sig line for cryin out loud.
pathetic.

What a ridiculous assumption. I'm a 15 year old managing Steve Fearson? That definitely has the ring of truth.

You probably know by now that something of mine is marketed through his website, so I like to help spread the word about new products as they pop up. Simple as that.
Message: Posted by: Xiqual (Jan 9, 2009 08:32AM)
Hardly ridiculous. Do you know what that even means?

Every time Fearson comes out with a new product you are here pimping his stuff.
Since you have a financial venture with him, I would say you are hardly impartial.
This is about par for the course in the "Latest and greatest" thread these days.

I don't get paid to review or push his products. I am simply friendly with Steve and fully support his work.

Every time Fearson comes out with a new download Michaelmystic is here pounding the pulpit.

He said it was a "ridiculous assumption" that he was Steve Fearson. Since he is always pimping Fearson's stuff it is actually a quite logical assumption, especially here in latest and greatest.

A ridiculous assumption would be to assume he was George W. Bush or Britney Spears.

But using that logic you would have to assume that Tim Trono is Paul Harris :)

Huh????
Message: Posted by: michaelmystic2003 (Jan 10, 2009 04:57PM)
LOL true.

Come on, I said it was ridiculous because you KNOW I'm not Steve Fearson. I just support his work, like Chris Kavanagh supports Sankey.
Message: Posted by: CinChiller (Jan 10, 2009 05:06PM)
Im not interested in who is who and who is supporting whom! Tell us something about the effect.

James
ps
Hey, I just thought of the Tim Trono PH theory! You might be on to something.
Notice how you never see them together?

I attended the ellusionist lunch with Paul and Tim.

One was always in the can while the other was at the table.

It doesn't prove they are the same person though... They just may not like each other. Or they may both have too much fiber in their diets.
Message: Posted by: Stucky (Jan 20, 2009 05:04PM)
Anyone ever seen this movie?
Message: Posted by: Magic Spank (Jan 20, 2009 09:48PM)
I've seen it.

Julia Roberts. It's currently also the name of a real pizza place.

I have posted a review in the Downloads section. Great work on this one Steve! Definitely check it out.

Hmmmmmm ........

Yes, and in that case you might assume the trick on psychic samurai is a rip-off of the Mystic Pizza trick since Mystic Pizza was published over 10 years ago from what I can see. I have it on the original VHS.
Message: Posted by: krisneale (Jan 21, 2009 09:16AM)
Can I perform this in the UK?

Kris
Message: Posted by: michaelmystic2003 (Jan 21, 2009 11:37AM)
It can be performed ANYWHERE! No limitations. And the principle used has endless applications.
