Topic: A Digital Psychic Connection Effect for Everyone
Message: Posted by: Will Tsai (Jan 18, 2009 03:05AM)
Hey guys. I am recently sponsoring a joint magic club from local universities. Out of personal interest and for the sake of killing time while going from places to places, I've designed a digital psychic reading effect that everyone will be able to do to help them promote the club around. The result turned out to be quite interesting to the non-magic people. Nothing miraculous for the experts here, but something I've enjoyed showing around and had fun with. Just thought I'll also share with friends from Caftoo. Here you go. Hope you'll also have fun with it.

URL : http://www.sm-clubz.com/game/

Short Instruction -
1. Go to the URL. If you remember the address, you'll be have to show this around whenever there's a computer and the Internet around.

2. Have the spectator press their right thumb on the fingerprint to 'connect' to the oracle; while simply read out what's in the text box or say something along the line.

3. Have the spectator think of anything of her/his concerns. Just one.... Whatever is named out, it'll always turned out to be correct with a simple reading accordingly. The secret is hidden in "CLICK HERE TO SEE THE ANSWER". The position of every single word matches the position of the element boxes (bling bling, book, heart...etc) . The concept is, when the spectator is being 'connected', the right hand would obviously be busy at the moment. So logically, you'll be the nice guy to just simply help to 'click.' The rest is self-working. If you add some little touches of your own, I believe it could be a lot stronger than just a game.

Just something to share. Let me know if you like it :)

Btw, here is another one you might already know:

You ask the spectator any question and the computer knows the answer!!!

I don't exactly remember how it works, but a google search will tell you (that's how I did last time... about a year ago...).

I just asked a question @ peteranswers.com and it said my topic is not very interesting - so no answer.. My question: How many cats do I have?
