This looks like an interesting design:

The Hocus-Pocus ad says:

A true innovation to the salt pour that has taken years to perfect!

A revolutionary new Salt Pour Gimmick from two creative people: R. Paul Wilson and Joe Porper! This fantastic utility device has no other rival and features many different uses for the professional performer.

A true classic of stand-up magic that has stood the test of time has now just cemented its reputation for many more years with this incredible gimmick!

Popularized by the late Fred Kaps, Jeff Hobson, Paul Kozak and Levant, this revolutionary gimmick is not only easy to use, but perfect to manipulate as well. And the best part? You have complete control over the amount of salt that is spilled, thanks to the machined apparatus!

This innovation should have been done long before, I'm happy to see this..

In the image of this new nifty gimmick...is that a little port window to gauge your pour amounts?
Wonder how heavy she is...I'm so used to plastic now.

Love the innovations.

No, its not a window, it is a tube going all the way through. I would think that this would cut down on the amount of salt held in the gimmick.

Why on earth would anyone want to pay so much money for this when Levent has a fantastic, well researched and developed gimmick and superior teaching DVD available on his website for $39 plus shipping?

Do yourself a favour (your Mrs will love you for it!)

The Porper made, Paul Wilson gimmick is NOT for the vanish and pour, but a production. Really great for a second load for a looooooooooooonger pour. the hole in it is for manipulation purpuses.

Ahhh. I see now. Thanks Pete!
All aspects of it seem perfect now. Ready to go at any time for that second round. Cool!

Nobody sells what Kaps used anymore. It was made by Paul Fox. If you want the closest thing, get Levent's gimmick and DVD to really learn the best way. Then, if you want a second load get the Porper unit.

That Levant DVD was a real unexpected history lesson for me and I value it highly.
I totally see this Porper unit as a secure killer finale.

Thanks, Pete, for a helpful answer. (And I do emphasize the word "helpful.")

I just re-read the original post and Levent's name is spelled wrong.
