Topic: Madhatter Magic Shop

Hi all.

I just want to know if anyone has purchased from this magic shop before, and if they are trustworthy?

Madhatter is one of the BEST and one of only a very few Magic book retailers to safely package books. Your "new" book purchases come looking like new, as they should. This shop has become my favorite Magic retailer of choice. Honesty and customer service are their first considerations. Shop here with full confidence. Many of us do.

I just wish I lived closer (I'm 3,000 +/- miles away) and could do some walk-in shopping. That would be wonderful.

Oh Yes I have. And they are the best I have dealt with and I've dealt with a lot of sites. As I stated before in other posts that the others are good, but Madhatter has by far the cheapest prices and the BEST customer service. You will not be dissapointed with this site.

I love Madhatter.

I was first a satisfied MadHatter customer myself before I began recommending them for good deals in combination with my e-Book instructions. They kindly provided purchasers of my "Spellbinder's Dye-Version Version" with a special package of all the silks needed, and provided purchasers with a special discount. I am recommending them again in my latest e-Book on Fred Johansen's "Mongolian Silk Mystery," which I show how to use for MadHatter's Mismade Flag set, and also for their Streamers and a huge six foot silk Blendo. My e-Book tribute to Fred Johansen's effect and the instructions for performing many variations of it (and the recommendations for silks and links to MadHatter's site) can be found in Book Two of my Mini-Mysteries series.

Sometimes you can really tell when a shop loves what they do. These guys really seem to care about magic and making their customers happy. That isn't an easy thing to find these days.

Madhatter is one of my favorites. I always check with them first.

That's good to know...

Thanks all!

I have made up my mind. The only thing where Madhatter becomes more expensive is with foreign shipping (depending on how much stuff I buy). PenguinMagic for example does not charge more than $43.90 for foreign shipping (Priority mail wit tracking number). For the same purchase at Madhatter, shipping is just over $50 - yet still cheaper than Penguin in total (about $10 cheaper).

The greatest problem I have is the shipping cost. I can get different products at cheaper prices if I shop around, but I can't, because shipping is not free (or even cheap).

Denny and Lee is amazing, imho.

I've ordered from penguin, tops magic, madhatter, and many others.

Denny and Lee is more than worth the few extra dollars you may pay, even though all the prices are competitive. Denny is a super nice guy, the shop has a great selection, and shipping is $6 regardless of what you pay. They also package and ship very quickly and efficiently.

I highly recommend supporting this great shop.

I've had good experience with Madhatter, but recently I'm dissappointed in their lack of customer service. They have not responded to my last two emails and phone message.

I ordered an item on 7/4, called them the following week to find out it was backordered. Bill reassured me it would ship the week after, but still nothing. What's irritating is they have not responded to my emails or phone msg.

Spellbinder Thank you for the link. That was my question.

Well, I'm a happy customer of Madhatter again. Bill really does want his customers happy. He contacted me & provided an update on my delayed shipment. He was even kind enough to offer overnight shipping on his dime.

I would definitely do business again with them. They have good selections, great prices & does want their customers happy.

Of ALL the online magic shops I've visited, MAdHAtter has been my favorite. I always go there first, but lets face it, I will shop for the best price on commercial items, so the others do get a fair shot at my business. I have spread around a lot of my milk money on magic beans these last few years.

Denny and Lee are the best anywhere

I live close enough to go in person

Madhatter is good and I use them for things Denny does not carry

Bill is a nice guy and the prices are hard to beat.

Madhatter has great range, great prices, great specials and great service - one of the BEST online dealers you can do business with!

Madhatter has some great rebates on price controlled products. They put the instant rebates into your online account. Buy it, and get money back.
