Topic: Dean Dill Needs Our Help
Message: Posted by: Paul Gross (Jul 28, 2009 12:19PM)
Hello Everyone,

I just got the news that our good friend Dean Dill Has Cancer.

Sometimes it takes tragedy to put things in perspective and realize what is important. We'd like to ask you to consider making a donation to our fellow brother in magic, DEAN DILL.

Dean was recently diagnosed with cancer and needs our help. Although he has health insurance, the payout is minimal and will diminish almost immediately. He must start chemotherapy treatment and surgery will also be involved. It will be some time before Dean will be back on his feet and working.

In the meantime, the Dill family are subject to an enormous amount of financial hardship and astronomical medical costs. Given the pain and stress they are already enduring, we are asking for your donations to help this very special fellow brother magician and his family. We realize that many are having their own financial matters to deal with, especially nowadays, but we ask to give what you can, if possible.

So we're reaching out to the magic community and asking for your help. We are collecting donations for Dean and his family starting at $10.00. If you would like to donate more, see the links below.

All donations will go in their entirety to the Dill family.

Dean is a great man, a great magician, and he has given to us all in one way or another through his magic, through his friendship, through his kindness, through his encouragement, and through his example as a truly wonderful human being. We ask that you reflect on this time of giving and give your support to the Dills. We'd encourage everyone to look at the big picture and put things in perspective, and to reach down into their pockets. Let's take care of one of our brother magicians and one of the all time great guys in magic. Let's help Dean and his family out.

Again, all donations will go in their entirety to DEAN DILL.

Thank you all in advance for any support big or small that you can provide.

If you wish to donate we have set up a special Dean Dill Donation category on the Hocus Pocus website http://www.hocus-pocus.com Thank you all for your support.

Best regards,
Paul Gross

Ah, this is such unfortunate news.

Paul, do you have more information you can share with us, e.g., the type of cancer, how advanced it is, etc.?

In any case, thanks for the heads up and providing us an opportunity to help.

That is heartbreaking to hear. Paul, you're doing a great thing.

Hello Donal,

I am really not comfortable sharing some of these details on a public forum. I can tell you that the type cancer he has is very serious and treatment will be lengthy and take it's toll on him.

Best regards

It doesn't matter to me the type or severity, all I care about is that Dean's a great person and the bills will definately be heinous. I'm kicking in.

Makes me SO grateful for the British National Health Service.

Prayers for Dean.

Q. Is there a paypal address I can use?
