We just received Proclamation from Honorable Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm proclaiming National Magic Week in Michigan for the week of October 24th and National Magic Day on Halloween!

I wish that would mean no Michigan sales tax for any magical purchases during the week of the 24th from a Michigan dealer! Or maybe make taxes disappear for the whole State for one day. wow! Go Blue!

Well....Roger..to let the cat out of the bag....we are offering everything in the store (exception of consignment items) 25% off for one day only for in store purchases only :0) better than sales tax :)

The Gov promised no tax hikes and so far has kept her word. These are simply tax shifts in an upward direction.

Weather should be getting a little nicer, should be perfect for Halloween

See you there for sure! The Kalamazoo Gazette suggested in the October 18 issue to go to "Fun on the Farm" first on 10-31 at the Nottawa Fruit Farm (www.nottawafruitfarm.com) which opens at 11:30AM, then swing over to Colon and be there no later than 2PM to see Justin Holbrook (10.5 miles away from Nottawa), grab dinner in Colon (I'll be going to Riverlake Inn), then go over to "Splat-Man-Boo" Haunted Forest, 13650 Harder Road, Three Rivers which starts at 8PM and features 50 actors to scare the tar out of you for $5 (not for kids). Sounds like a plan to me!

Wow! What a blast! We had standing room only Plus for the 1:00 pm show and raised lots of donations for the food pantry here in Colon. Justin Holbrook and Christian Hill braved the frigid temperatures and performed flawlessly outside. We had a terrific turnout even with the cold temps. Bill Watson (Monk Watson's son) emceed the event for the second year in a row (this is our 3rd annual event)
Lots of media coverage - the shop was packed with people and we thank all that came. Truly a ! to magic week....See you all next year - heck we are already planning!
