Dee Christopher :: SIGHT :: DIGITAL

For those of you who havenít heard of SIGHT before, it has been on the market for a little while now. I purchased it not too long ago. The basic effect being, you have your spectators stare at a laminated collectorís card naming the top 10 horror films. The spectator just THINKS of one of those films, instantly, you tell them in graphic, gory detail, what the film is.

It once was sold with instructions and laminated cards, but now Dee has made it more accessible for all and just in time for Halloween. Now you can get it from Deeís site as a Digital Download. Print out as many of the special cards and laminate them yourself. The trick is incredibly clever and easy to perform. As it is centred around horror films, it really is a great effect for Halloween. The card is wallet sized so you can have it with you all the time with no fuss.

And it can be done on instant message boards and with some tinkering, the phone!

Itís available now at http://www.MindLapse.net for the steal of £13.00!

Slick!

Ah, Thanks for the words Jamie - I know you've been doing the original for a while!

Another up to the digital version is that while you are supplied with print res artwork, you can also perform this over MSN, iChat and other instant messengers - I've killed with it on MSN, it's great!

I really wanted to get this up before halloween as it's the ideal effect for walkaround with the wallet sized card or if you're doing cabaret, you could print out an A4/A3 or even larger poster and work it that way!

Best,

DC

I'm a friend of Dee, that's no secret. But what I told him in private is exactly what I'll tell you here: I love this kind of concepts. I'm a huge fan of the remote viewing concept, and methods that allow you to perform magic even if you don't touch anything, even if you are miles away... and I believe Dee did a fantastic job here.

I would say that this kind of method is the closest we can get from the real thing. The effect itself will for sure please both mentalists, bizarrists and magicians.

A might be using this for Halloween... fits perfectly!

I am very enthusiastic about this piece... loving mentalism and horror movies, this effect is right up my alley.

I've previously given a full review of Sight riiiiight over here:

Great effect, perfect for Halloween! I sent the pdf to my cell phone and will try it out tonight! I plan on presenting the list as a webpage after the topic of horror films has been brought up.

Perfect topic to lead into after the common discussion of "What are you gonna be for Halloween?" We can then organically transition to googling horror films and stumble across this list.

Mad props to Dee Christopher for putting this together and having it make sense. Some of his subtitles with this type of effect are priceless. Highly recommended

Lol the subtitles cost extra as it involves me sending out a translator relevant to the users language. Costly process ;) haha!

Thanks for the kind words B, I love the idea of showing it as a webpage, interesting thoughts!!

Also Jay and Mike, thanks for your comments :D

Hi Mr. Christopher!

I noticed that one of the movies is misspelled, specifically number 9. I'm not a big horror movie buff but I found out about the error while reading up on the movies in wikipedia. Maybe only a real horror movie buff would notice, but I was wondering nonetheless if it were possible to modify the list on our own? If you think it warrants replacement, I have a couple of ideas of films to use.

But otherwise, I love the effect!

Ah, I'm aware of the typo, it's no problem! :)

I go to regular horror fan meets (I'm a ridiculous horror fan, 500+ horror dvds and a signed Argento pic on my studio wall! :P) and stuff and have never had any issues - Don't worry about it! :)

Glad you like it!!

p.s. Anyone at the Gorezone fest in London over halloween give me a shout!!!

Just purchased last night. I don't do much mentalism, but this seems pretty awesome. Very subtle. Seems like pure mind reading. Can't wait to try for halloween, ah what perfect timing!

Got this as a free gift with my Legion pre-order. Just wanted to say I really like this. The layout and graphics on the card are superb. The mehod is very nice and easy to accomplish with little memorization. The way Dee sets up the card makes the revelations pretty darn easy. If you are looking for a good Halloween effect to add this year that won't take you long to master- this is definately worth giving a look!

Nice Job Dee!
