Topic: What has 2 thumbs and flies to Fiji?
Message: Posted by: Doc Allgood (Nov 19, 2009 12:25PM)

On Saturday, I'll be "escaping" to Fiji for a week and a half.

Does anyone know what types of restraints are used in Fiji? I'm assuming something British since it was a former colony. Although, they have had a number of coups.

It's pretty close to Australia, so maybe the Aussies know.

I'm back.

It appears that the Fijian police use a standard swing-through cuff that looks like a Smith and Wesson knockoff. No stamps at all. No double lock. Offset keyhole. I took a couple pics but I'm not sure if anyone could name a maker.

I also took the opportunity to scuba dive with some sharks (bulls, nurse, silvertip, etc.) Quite an interesting time.

The cuffs would still be nice to see.
