This news really saddens me. I got to work with him two seasons with WOW. He was a great guy with a unique sense of humor. I'm glad to say I knew the man.

Been trying to find out a little more about Bruce's death. Nothing on the net I have been able to find.

Did visit with a showman out of Fl, he said that he'd heard that Bruce died in October in St. Petersburg.

Im sure Ward has all the info on this matter.

Bruce was a really odd man, odd in a wonderful way. I've heard so many crazy stories, and briefly lived in is old bread truck. "Okay now peas, I'm gonna eat you..."

I'm really glad that the ballycast interview with him exists.

I hate to admit it, but I felt that my interview with Bruce Snowden was very flawed - between my less-than-ideal research as an intervierwer, and Snowden's clearly failing health and low spirits, I don't think it did him anything like justice.

Still, folks might find it WORTH CHECKING OUT

It is what it is, and that is a record of Bruce, some anecdotes and stories from his life. It is preservation.

Everything is flawed.
The interview was great.

(EDIT:)
I guess I should explain why I think it was great.
It was unrehearsed and very real.
The 2 of you were complete strangers, therefore not totally at ease.
Bruce's situation at the time ,while not the best, was in many ways typical
of a fair number of old or disabled showfolks.
In a way,he represents them.

Mr Snowden passed away on Tuesday Jan 12th,at a nursing home somewhere in Tampa.
He was 64.
He will be buried at Showmen's Rest in Tampa.
Further info can be had by calling the IISA Gibtown Club at :(813) 677-3590.
The Club will be handling his arrangements.
