Surely with this type of "guniss world record" the "worlds smallest man" will never be dead? doesn't someone else just inherit the title .... like dead mans shoes (or short trousers if you preffer).

Too bad :(

Hey, Verne Troyer is really, really short, I helped him into a transpo van when Love Guru was shooting here-and I swear he came up to my kneecaps at best (but I'm 6'1). Maybe he's in the running now!...

Does Guinness announce the new 'winner'? Or do we just wait for the next book in heated anticipation?

Yes I think we will have to wait with heated anticipation .... I just canít wait until 2011!

Any how how can Guinness release the new "Guinness world records" book in like January of 2010? Surely it should be Guinness world records 2009.

Oh well at least thanks to Sir Hugh Beaver we have GWR!

Met Pe-Pe when I was on the Guinness show in Italy, really funny little guy, this is very sad news indeed.

Didn't realise he was only 21! So sad.

Dave could be right about the title passing on. Found this on the telegraph's (Brit newspaper, one without half naked women) website: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/nepal/7285860/Worlds-shortest-man-seeks-recognition.html
