Topic: Where to Learn this effect? Jumping ring on fingers?
Message: Posted by: Apprentice (Jul 5, 2010 09:08AM)
I saw a video clip on this person's website.

Within the video clip is a 10 second clip showing a younger guy doing 2 short finger hopping ring routines.

Where can I learn this effect? What is it called (so that I can search for it at the Magic Café)?

Thank you!

To see the clip go to the homepage: http://www.kentwongmagic.com/

Then scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click on the first video clip (on the far left).

Watch at about 2 minutes 30 secs up to 2min 40 secs for the finger hopping ring routines.

Much appreciated for all your help.

Try searching Ring Thing. Garrett Thomas has some great work on this on his DVD's.

Apprentice,
You can ask Kent directly, he's a member of this forum:

Thank you so much NicolasD & Donnie! I took both your advice.

I contacted Kent himself and it was as mentioned Garrett Thomas' DVD The Ring Thing.

I will be purchasing the DVD very shortly.

It's impromptu and a beautiful effect when performed well. It sounds like Garrett covers everything in great detail so I'm really looking forward to it.

Thanks!
