For those of you who were not part of the business meeting at the 2010 International FCM Convention, there are some changes on the FCM website, including the addition of books and magazines that can be downloaded. More will be coming in the future. All of these are of course are public domain, but some are titles not likely to be found in other places. For example the C.H. Woolston books are available. Mike Stenberg has done a great job getting this up for us. So for those who are members...go check it out. You will even have a number of the "Oz & Wilde" lecture notes and books in the library as well.

Mike has continued to expand the library section...and now we have (in addition to Voice of FCM/Christian Conjurer issues):

Books by Will Dexter
Books by Dell O'Dell
Books by CH Woolston
Books Misc.
Oz & Wilde
Magazines: First Issues
Magazines: Magic if Fun (which is the complete run of the magazine...seven issues)
Magazines Misc.
Convention & Workshop Notes (which only at this typing includes Oz & Wilde notes from 2010...but hoping for more contributions)

It is exciting that we have this for members. And yes...one can get lost reading stuff...but hey...you can find lots of "new ideas" looking through the old and public domain stuff.

Hi Kif
Do you up-load the books or is it Mike? I ask because the book "Mental-Wise Part 2, Vol 4#4 to Vol 5 #5 1958-1961" is only a 1 page cover.

Message: Posted by: Kif Anderson (Oct 2, 2010 01:36PM)
Hmmmm...I scanned...but Mike is the uploader...will check into that.

Thanks Kif, It's there now.
I have read and re-read most of what's on the web-site.

Hey, with the back issues of "The Christian Conjurer" there- that's thousands of pages... a year's worth of good reading!

More will be coming...when I get things scanned...Time has not been a luxury for that in the last couple of months. But rest assured more will be put up.

Appreciate the feedback. Sometimes wonder if I'm just doing it for myself. (It is nice to carry some of my "library" with me on my key chain.)

Hey Kif- I have downloaded a bunch of things on my computer from the FCM library- much appreciated! I did not keven know that so much of the original historic Gospel magic books/booklets were even in existence- a virtual FCM Museum online. Thanks again!

Anyone know of a bibliography of gospel magic books?
Message: Posted by: MagicBus (Oct 13, 2010 05:37PM)
I know I have seen partial lists of Gospel magic books someplace- maybe in the back of Duane Laflin's hardbound book on Gospel magic or in Oz and Wilde lecture notes from a FCM convention...

I used to work for the late John deVries, a former President of FCM. He was writing a book for Magic, Inc. which never got completed. However, he did put out a booklet with a red cover entitled something like "Fighting the Devil with Gospel Magic" (that was not the exact title). I have it stored someplace. But it was a pretty neat booklet and had at least three full tricks in it with Gospel applications. These I believe were the initial chapters of the book that never got completed. I was hoping the manuscript would show up in the Jay Marshall estate.

I forgot to mention: at the Sheldon Rhodes' website of http://www.jestkidding.com click on "Store" then click on "Magic Books". Listed there are a ton of Gospel books listed by Sheldon and many other FCMers. Roger from http://www.ChristianMagician.org

Kif, thanks for all your hard work on putting that all together! That's a lifetime of valuable information there!

So much to read....so little time!
