Topic: Your Next Gig Might Just Be One Phone Call Away
Message: Posted by: lou serrano (Sep 28, 2010 11:29PM)
I posted a new video on my blog describing one idea that may lead to booking your next gig. It's only two minutes long, but it just might inspire you to take action on one very simple strategy.

Taking small steps on a continuous basis can yield results far greater than the effort expended. Here's the link: http://louserranomarketing.com/142/your-next-gig-one-phone-call-away-2/

To your success!

GREAT advice Lou!! BTW I still use your steel ball effect as my closer. A few seconds of silence until it hits then a standing ovation every time.

Hi Peter,

I'm glad the The Steel Ball Routine is working for you. I'm also glad you were able to change it up a bit to fit your style.

Wishing you continued success!

Your line of thinking also reminds me of Darren Hardy's "The Compound Effect." It's all the little things that add up.

I hadn't heard of the "Compound Effect". It's now on my list of books to read this coming month. Thanks for sharing.

Lou -

You're welcome.

Here's a link to Darren's book site, for others interested in "The Compound Effect." Darren is also the publisher of Success Magazine.

If you follow Darren on Facebook, he has been sharing audio samples there.

Another very eye opening and rather informative piece of wisdom you've shared once again. On behalf of the magic community, I would like to thank you, and keep up the fantastic work!

The topic is so true. A lot of us think we can just sit around and 'hope' the gigs come in on their own. This topic was definitely a call to action.

Thanks for the reminder about this.

I was planning on calling some past customers this week anyhow, so I made some calls yesterday, and booked a show.

I had called this customer a few weeks ago, but didn't hear back. The customer thanked me for being persistent and calling again. I spaced my calls a few weeks apart so I was a welcome guest, and not an annoying pest.

Eli, Thank you for your thoughts. They're much appreciated.

Donald, I'm glad to hear you're booking shows. Too many people give up after trying something only once. You prove that being persistent and not giving up is a major key to success.

Wishing you the very best,
