Topic: Artificial Flame Units
Message: Posted by: flight10 (Dec 10, 2010 09:15PM)
I have got to use an artificial flame unit but I have never seen one in operation. I have found that there are quite a few to choose from but not sure the quality of the effect and the product. Any recommendations or insight would be appreciated.

LeMaitre makes one of the best, if not the best, ones. They're expensive but look great. Try http://www.theatrefx.com.

Thanks. I would not mind see a movie file of one of these in operation. If you come across one, please send me a link.

They look much better if you have smoke coming from the device.

Thanks Alan. This is good as the box it is going in will have fogger. I think I can work with it to enhance the effect.

Le Flame by Le Maitre is the best I have seen, and Theatre Effects is a great company to work with. I bought the MBT version from them a few years back,it's nice but not as good as the Le Maitre.

I think I may know what box you are talking about... I'd love to see some picks when your done
