Wow! Thank you for posting that!
That was good!
She should win the title from talent and definitely looks!

She came in second. Of course, not with the posters on this board!

I just had to watch it again (and save it on my computer)
Those figures were cute, anyone know who their maker was?

Now that's perfect lip control :)

I love her!!!

I thought the girl figure had an early Selburg look, the boy I almost think I should know who the maker is, but it's not coming to me.

Here's another video from when she was Miss teen Arkansas., she's doing the same bit but with two soft puppets (I like it with the hard figures better).
Apparently a video from the preliminaries, at some point, they had to stop, looks like her mic was cutting out - if you go the 1:55 minute mark, that will take you to where she starts over;

And here's one with her just using the girl figure - when this was, I don't know;

Before someone says I REALLY am stalking her after my joke in a previous post, I was doing a search looking for an interview with her or something where she might mention who made the figures.

Mystery solved about the boy figure;

WOW!!! What a beautiful young and extremely talented lady! She would be a great "Guest Star" for Terry Fator to consider(??). The only thing I noticed was that the two figures had voices that were almost identical BUT, what the heck, she still is very, very exceptional. Don't see that kind of talent every day, IMHO!

Dave you beat me to the punch. Thanks for posting the link. We really helped her with the figure.

She's fabulous!

Anybody know who sells the elevated seats the figures were sitting on?

Try http://www.algoodproducts.com for the stands.

You can also make your own with a mic stand, a square piece of wood, some black material and some gold fringe.
The tricky part is getting the flange that would screw onto the mic stand that you would screw the board onto.
I made mine years ago, and as I recall, the flange wasn't readily accessible, I believe I got the flange from Florida Magic.

She was beautiful, with an average female singing voice(out of those that can sing). However, it seems as though every young Female Ventriloquist does the "two figures(boy&girl), singing a western song, and yodeling" bit. I've seen it many, many times in Vegas, and Branson(still). They are all over YouTube. And yes the voices were all the same pitch. Keeping in mind the time limit that she was given, and the stress factor. The crowd's response is more favorable since they don't see this type of act(ventriloquism)very often. Most of us live,eat,and breathe vent, and have a tendency to be more critical. I watched the older video. Outside of poor lip control, one of the worst ways to "kill" the illusion of Vent, is to have your figure "floating" at your side. Nothing beats a vent-stand.

Duane I have to agree with you. If you look at all the comments that have been made on the you tube videos you will see that America loved her and the only folk that were critical are those in the vent community. I would like to see any one else get up on a stage in front of 20 milloin and not be a bit nervous. I think under the circumstances she did a fantastic job.

It's a beauty pageant and she showed her vent skills and probably never claimed to be a pro vent :)

If it were a talent contest specially if a ventriloquism contest if there is such a thing, then that's a different story :)

She was an unannounced guest on Letterman tonight. She sang her song (better than she did on the Miss A. contest, I thought), and got a nice response from the audience. Dave almost killed it with a dismissive quip at the end, but not quite.
