I've done acting, stand-up, improv, radio & produced TV. Now I'm doing a Stage Hypnosis act. Each kind of performing has a community unique to it. The magicians I've know were always some of the nicest people. One old man who lived here in Bakersfield was Al Robbins famous magician. He was always kind and generous with the young guys interested in magic. He was also a noted herpetologist (snakes) he'd pay us $1 a foot for snakes to feed to the other snakes.
I know stage hypnosis is like a relation by marriage to magic but I am hoping to make some friends and have chance to pick up tips on showmanship and the business aspects. For me it's all about entertaining people and having fun doing it.

I'm thinking an occasional flashy effect would spice up my act. Hmmm.

Welcome Cotu,

You're right, I've met many great people in the Magic community.

I wish I had met Al Robbins. My 2nd dream of what I wanted to be was a Herpetologist.
I got my King Snake to eat mice because I couldn't stand feeding him snakes.

There are lots of Hypnotists here. Go to the You are Getting Sleepy Forum.

Thanks Mary I'll check it out, If I don't fall asleep.

If you (are or will be) in the area of Bakersfield Ca there's wild life museum (CALM) with an exhibit building for snakes named after Al. They have quite a collection.
