I've combed the net for a dvd of this production:

And can find NOTHING. I am willing to buy it if I could find a store. Here are some clips put up on youtube:

Apparently it's British made and aired on TV a while back. Help me track down this beauty!

I've made an inquiry with Channel 4 (British TV) to see if they have a DVD. A search there found me nothing so it's probably TV only.

Will keep everyone posted.

Dear Joe,

Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding HEROES OF MAGIC.

We don't automatically have the rights to release all the programmes we broadcast on DVD and as a rule we tend to choose titles to release that we feel will be financially viable. Unfortunately, this particular programme was not released through Channel 4 DVD or any other distributor, and we have no plans to do so in the future. As we are sure you can appreciate, we receive hundreds of calls and letters requesting copies of programmes that were not released commercially, therefore, Channel 4's policy is that we do not provide one-off copies.

I am sorry that we are unable to help with your request.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us here at Channel 4, we hope you continue to enjoy our programming.

It's repeated on More4 tonight at 23.05.

ENTERTAINMENT: Heroes of Magic
On: more4 (138)
Date: Monday 2nd January 2012 (starting this evening)
Time: 23:05 to 01:10 (2 hours and 5 minutes long)

One hundred years of magic is celebrated in this extravaganza, which charts the art form from the heyday of music hall to the pioneering days of television, from contemporary street magicians to the superstars of Las Vegas. Rare vintage clips capture the mystery and enchantment, with an impressive line-up of over 30 great magicians, embracing star names of the television age, as well as those from the early days of theatre and cinema. Heroes of Magic explores the fascinating role of show business wizardry, from the time of magicians like Houdini, John Nevil Maskelyne and David Devant, to the mind-boggling magic of modern-day performers, who have taken their tricks on to the streets.
