Topic: Best Rubber Bands?
Message: Posted by: JeffHall (Apr 22, 2011 11:53PM)
I know you can buy rubber bands at just about any office supply store and my question is this: Are some rubber bands better to work with than other? Where do I buy the best rubber bands for magic?
thanks, Jeff

In a pinch, I bought the #16 rubber bands...WAY too small. Most that I have seen use the #19's. I am heading to the city tomorrow, and will picj some up then.

Thanks for the brand recommendation, Vinny!

"Brites" rubber bands are made by Alliance, but they come in a variety pack, and the #19's are the yellow ones. Only Alliance makes pure latex bands.

Yes #19 but they are not as good as the alliance #19 latex free bands which cost around 7 bucks for a pound.

I bought a one pound box of Alliance #19 bands from Amazon last month. Afraid I might run out - if I can manage to live to about 110!

Great bands, really, and at these prices you can't lose.

At Staples, all they had was the Staples brand. I will be in a city on Wednesday where this is an Office Depot or OfficeMax (can't remember which). I will look there for the Allliance brand.

Another vote here for Alliance Rubber Bands. I have the crepe colored, orange and blue. They are strong, flexible, and look great.
The Best!

You can contact Mark Fitzgerald , http://www.that-magic-guy.com/ he carries number 19 yellow rubberbands. They are more visible than the office supply store ones and the last .
