I have add a survey on the blog, each week you can give your notation for the effect of one Tenyo trick. At the end I add your global note to remplace mine in the post of the trick. This week is T-186 Anti-gravity rock. Please give your (objective) opinion for Effect and Design :) http://tenyo-magic.blogspot.com Hope you like this idea. | Wow I am very surprised to see you don't like the design of Merlin's coffer. I always liked his own design that I find, mysterious and neat. The small string with the pearl, the pretty little translucent black box with bottom and lid with silver dots. What you do not like with the design of this trick ? |

| In my opinion the idea of the trick is great but there is so much stuff there: a string, the washer, the pearl, the pom pom, the box, the lid.....I feel that it's a little bit saturated.....also if the spectator don't have the chance to inspect the parts at the beggining he could even supose that the free washer was occult in the huge pom pom. |

I beleive it was in the Tips section where they suggested removing the plastic clip in the lid and replacing with a piece of thin rubber magnet. That would definitely make the working smoother. John |

That is in the tips section at TenyoWorld. Would be nice to try if I ever get a spare Merlin's Coffer as my biggest problem with the trick has always been getting the washer to stay where it is supposed to. Anyone know if anyone makes a square dice bomb trick? It would be nice if you can just use the cover to one of those if there would be one that fits. In any case when I do this trick I do give all the props to be examined both before and after the trick. |

Hello, What do think about change the notation system /20 from star system ? like this : Effect : ★★★★☆ Design : ★★☆☆☆ I'm very sad about the fact that Tenyo never just send me a litlle email to say they are happy about the blog or just a little kind word, I have send an email to tenyo but I never had reply. I think it's the notation system that hurts Tenyo so maybe with a star system it will be more acceptable to them and ultimately does not change much because I can easily turn a score of /20 with five stars. 5 stars for 18-20/20, 4 stars for 15-18/20, 3 stars for 10-15/20, 2 stars for 5-10/20, and 1 star to 0-5/20. I can add too a rarity notation to help collector to know if an item is rare or not. What do you think ? |

I like it, I always use black background with the blue letters on html ads. Also the page loads faster on a slow connection without a jpg or bmp background. :) I agree colors in the pictures against the black does bring more focus on them. |

I like the old design better. It complemented the classic tricks as well as the contemporary tricks. The new design reminds me of a sports car site with a carbon fiber look. Too high tech for me and not magical at all. Just my opinion that was asked for. John |

I agree with all you 4 opinion in fact. Me too il like the old Design much more Magical, But me too I like the black bacground that enhances contrast. Me too I think now it's more cold and clean but I also like. In fact the old one make really "Blog", this one make more like "real website". After more than two years I think that change is a good idea, and I could change again later. It is not easy to find the right mix. |

Websites, in my opinion, have to be sober, clean, direct. I prefer your new design. But the blue writing is not 100% ok for me. Try a different, more contrasting color (a lighter shade of blue perhaps?). A bit of color is OK (2 or 3 different colors are sufficient for me), but make sure the color of the text is easy to read. However, also don't use a color that 'screames' and is too 'flashy'. It is hard to find the right balance, I know. Perhaps a mix of the old design (which had it's charm) with the new design is possible? Something 'in between'? Using an image file like the one you used to have as background is certainly a ‘no go’ for me, it takes too long to load the website (and I have a pretty fast connection). |

Stereo Although I don't know what shade of blue you are using, I would suggest a lighter blue also. I use #3399FF it looks good to me....try it see what you think. ;) |

Thank you, in fact I have a probleme because there is different colors for the link you have visited, and I have visited all the links of my blog so all appear in other color than visitor wich come for the first time. I have to chose one color of the link text and one for the visited link. I have put your Blue Color Mr Wizard, and put a grey color for visited link. For the loading of page I never think about it, it's an error, because in my computer all load instantly and I think it's the same for everyone... I put lot of photos etc and don't think about the time to load the page. Sorry for this error. I have a large screen too with high resolution so I don't know if the text have right size on other computer too. |

| This is an underestimated effect in my opinion. You do have to follow Tenyo's routine and handling exactly as described (as with many of their effects). Sometimes Tenyo effects, when I unpack them, put me off and I don't even want to perform them. However when I read through the manual in detail and perform it EXACTLY as Tenyo describes the effect becomes a lot better. |

| Hi Bud. I gave Sun & Moon Tubes an 8 for the following reasons. Respect for standard or classic equipment. It is basically a glorified pea can. It is 1 of a very few Tenyo 'T' series liquid effects. It is an advancement much in the same way that Nickels To Dimes became Dynamic Coins (A single prop becomes a dual prop). It is a versatile utility device. It is well made. The sun-moon theme is interesting. Ihe effect is grossly under-estimated imo. Is it equal to Billscape/Ultra Tube...He** no! The possibilities of this effect is limitless like a TT. What is lacking, is peoples unwillingness to experiment, explore & a general need to go beyond the enclosed instructions. |

Thank you Inert, yes it's not bad trick, but as you say it's just 2 pea can... I think they really could improve even more to make a reaaly Ultimate final version. The tubes are a bit too small, and the caps are too big to be easily taken in hand discreetly. In addition they should have put a system to seal so that water does not flow, even a little bit. The design is cute, plastic of caps is very good, but plastic of tubes is not fabulous. for me this trick deserve a 12/20. Not enough innovation, not quite good finishing, not enough ideas of routine in the manual etc... I think with a little envy, Tenyo could have done much better. |

This week give your vote about T-190 Bioshock. I'm very curious about this one. In fact the effect is really good, really, but only when it is mastered as in the video. Double 10/10 for me :) One of Lubor's/Tenyo's best. So easy yet so baffling for laymen. Combine it with a standard/basic spongeball routine (not that difficult with some practice) and you have one heck of a trick/routine! By the way I'd love to have a spare of this trick (as I would like to have a spare of Mini Morphosis by the way). Pm me with your offer if you're willing to sell or trade one (I have some pretty good trade stuff - see my signature bellow) :) One more thing, I bought some 'Gozintha Boxes' mini size a couple of months ago (hoping to be able to use it as Parabox with different spongeballs) but the boxes are giving away the secret: they are clearly not squares but rectangles :( . If you know the trick you know this is a major let down. Perhaps someone knows mini-gozintha boxes that look good? |

| I think Crystal Cleaver is good trick for magicians who like it for good reasons, it's one of the best clever apparatus, but I think laymen are more impressed by Invisible Zone, I say that because it was the case in my experience with the public. |

Everyone knows what a bic pen is and what it looks like. The pen is obviously solid. The case is just a case with a spring through the middle. Aaaaahh de Ninja Experiment ... . The [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUGcw0Ir5fE]video made by Magic Patagonia a few years ago[/url] really got me 'serious' into collecting Tenyo . And I really could NOT figure it out even after watching it several times (due to Roberto's excellent performance, the first part when he takes the pencils is what makes it so perfect ;) )! Great memories ... after months of searching for it I still remember the day I found one at Ron Allesi's website ... for 25 USD because the box showed some wear he said. The moment I opened the package I realized this was and up untill today still is perhaps Tenyo's finest real micro-illusion. The only thing that could be improved is some sort of 'locking' mechanism ... and perhaps some other type of 'foam' because it will eventually show holes in it if you use the trick a lot (something to look out for when you buy a second hand Ninja Experiment - and no, you CAN NOT open the frame and replace the foam, trust me). And one other thing, a NEW Ninja Experiment is shrink wrapped! If someone decides to make a new version of it perhaps they can add a mechanism that can 'flip' the m****** so it can be inspected! It is also the trick most people ask me to perform when they see it, but they always figure it out due to 'angle issues' ;) It has its flaws, but nonetheless I give this one 10/10 :) This is a Tenyo EVERY Tenyo collector should have! |

I think it needs to be done below eye level in even lighting. I did it in a small lecture hall with tiered seating. It would have been ideal but the spectators were too far away and couldn't really see it. It won't be deceptive in my house -- too many windows. There just doesn't seem any way to get the right lighting. |

I'm thinking, and correct me if I'm wrong, that if the frame was handed out casually before the performance, the method wouldn't be noticed, most attention would be quite rightly on the metal slide. | Even though there is no locking mechanism on Magical MRI, I would say that it is examinable. However, if performed correctly, the thing that the spectators will want to examine is NOT the frame, but the metal sheet. But a cursory examination of the frame will not reveal anything. |
