My girlfriend just got us an LCD this last weekend. It's in a bright room facing a window and it looks great even with the sun out and the blinds open. She also got one of them there Blue Ray watchacallers but the only disk we have is "The Men Who Stare at Goats." An underrated movie.
Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, LCD. I like it.

PS- One more thing, they have some uploading speed thing on them. It comes in 60, 120, or 240 speed. Make sure you get at least the 120 because the 60 is really glitchy and hard to watch.

I got a 46" dynex LCD 1080P It's got a very good picture. My other tv got stolen last sunday.

If you have the room, you should look at a projector and then you can get a much bigger size(92" +)

Theoretically, LED is the wave of the future, providing more vivid colors (specifically a darker black than LCD can deliver). Of course, you'll pay a bit more for the newer technology, but I would say go look at one in a home (not at the store) and decide if you're willing to pay a premium for the latest and greatest.

LED TVs do offer better black levels than standard LCD. Closer to that of plasmas.
