Topic: Prediction: Impossible - Raphael Czaja - 3 review copies
Message: Posted by: KingOfDiamonds (Apr 26, 2012 01:34AM)
Hello guys,

I'm back with a new ebook and gives away three copies to interested reviewers who contact me through my PM box with their email address.

EFFECT #1: The magician opens a card wallet displaying some playing cards torn in four pieces, each of them held by a rubber band. He explains, "Those are a few of the wrong predictions I've made in the past. Since then, I've learnt to keep being positive. For example, this one was wrong at the time it was made, but what if it was just right today?" You move this one aside and pocket the rest.

A spectator selects a number between 10 and 50. The deck is dealt accordingly to make up a card selecting a value and a suit. Despite the huge range of possible outcomes, the prediction that has been in full view from the beginning is correct.

EFFECT #2: Using a similar presentation but a different handling, the magician correctly predicts the spectator's card and the coin he put on it. In a variation, he also predicts if the coin has been flipped tails up or heads up.

Requires one readily available fake card. Use any deck. No sleights. Instant reset.

Otherwise, here are a couple of feedbacks:

"I LOVE it!!!!!!" - Stephen Tucker

I forgot to mention that extra tips and ideas from Stephen Tucker have been included in this ebook!

I really, really liked this little booklet!

Not only does it teach you a clever method for a reveal that can also be used in so many other routines (e.g. for sure I will use it in a variation of David Regal's Simple Woodcutter), but it also delivers a clever twist on an old force that doesn't suffer from appearing too convoluted.
Raphael's patter is great and suits the effect perfectly, credits are given and thorough instructions with pics make rehearsing this a piece of cake!

Great job, highly recommended!

Thanks Nicolino, much appreciated!

Here's another one:

"I really enjoyed this! It's a really strong and interesting routine" - John Gelasi

Now that I am more or less settled in Europe, I have time to catch up on reviews. A dreadfully long Vlad review is forthcoming but, in short, as in all of Raphael's work, there is a strong sense of structure and methodology to effect impact ratio, in other words, a must buy. Besides, if Stephen Tucker likes it, it HAS to be good.

Thanks Vlad, can't wait for the long version! :)

Well,

I can only second my previous posters, Raphael's new work is a fun to do, strong piece of magic with a clever plot. The prediction itself is out in the open the whole time and the story built around it cleverly hides the method (buyers will know what I mean).

Very good indeed.

The second effect using the coins appears to me a bit too sleight-of-handy for the effect given, but routine No 1 has my highest recommendation!

I really got to agree with everyone else, this is super clever, and a really nice extension of a classic idea. I also agree that I thought the scripting given was very good. Awesome work!

Andrew Loh just sent me this kind message: "I just read your awesome work [...] It's a nice work and best of all, this is surprisingly not very difficult to do. [...] At the end of the day, it appears like everything is under their control but it's not. The method is so cleverly disguised and in addition, I also enjoyed Stephen's version as well.Keep up the good work my friend."

Great endorsements....and well deserved!

Thanks Nicolino!

The ebook has been sold through lybrary.com for a few days now and is one of my fastest sales!

It seems it got more interest from mentalists than I expected. Because of its simplicity and fairness, I guess.

Anyway I'm glad people are appealed by the plot and they enjoy the method as well.

Best,
