Need some tech help: My light up (LED) juggling balls are too light...How can I add weight and still let the lights show?

Which lit balls are you using?

Personally I'd stick them on eBay and buy some better quality ones. Yoho juggling products are, in my opinion, nothing less than awful.

Buy these: http://www.dube.com/balls/lighted-juggling-balls.php

You can get replacement light kits too when the originals run out. Highly recommended by everyone I know who juggles them.

Yes, I am going to go with Roslyn on this one.

You may see from some previous posts of mine in this section that I am somewhat obsessed with lit props.

The Dube Lighted Balls, which also come in stage size, are nicely machined, beautifully balanced and have that sweet spot of “weightiness” which enables greater control.

There are others, but Dube is a very good choice; money well spent.

As Roslyn pointed out, the light replacements are convenient. I am not altogether enamored with the watch battery requirement (3 such batteries per ball), but it is a small inconvenience to put up with for such a superb, quality prop.

I've been using the Renegade 7-Color Change LED balls for about 4 years now. they work well, but PanLives' same complaint regarding the watch battery applies. we tried to replace the Renegade-provided batteries with some watch batteries bought from Walgreens, but they would not fit inside. also, there is a chance of the light fixtures coming apart, if you are not careful when you replace the batteries.

our next ones will be Dube's.

I like the Neon Husky light up juggling props.

I would say that the Yoho Electro balls are definitely "not less than awful". They have a better weight than a lot of other LED juggling balls out there. The included CD of tricks is better than a lot of other beginning juggling DVDs out there too. Their lighting system, with the option to slow cycle, stop at one color, or strobe is one of the best out there. They're definitely not the best product, but they're better than many other LED Juggling balls on the market, esp for the price.

I've heard good things of the boing magic light balls... one nice thing is that you can change their color by squeezing them, allowing you to change individual ball colors in the middle of a pattern.

As to the OP's original question about increasing the weight, I don't think there is an easy way to add weight to Yohos. Sorry.
