Topic: Anthony Jacquin-Good Guy
Message: Posted by: granterg (May 26, 2012 06:26PM)
Hi all,

I have never had the chance to meet Anthony Jacquin or have yet some of his products, but I just wanted to say here on the forum that in listening to interviews and such, Anthony Jacquin comes across as a good guy.

More specifically, he comes across as a genuinely good and, in a positive sense, normal guy.

I think that is probably one of the main reasons he is so successful. It is nice to see that you don't have to be weird to be good at hypnosis. As such, I can see why it must be so easy for him to gain rapport and trust from subjects.

Just some thoughts.

How about this? Anthony doesn't hide behind a pseudonym. He posts under his own name. That alone makes him stand out here - alongside some of the other more useful posters.

Above all else, Anthony is an expert in his field and not precious with it!

To elaborate on my post, I think one of the challenges in doing hypnosis is to not come across as creepy or weird.

I think Anthony Jacquin does a good job of coming across as normal, and genuinely as a good guy, and so he succeeds in gaining trust and rapport with his subjects.

Thanks Granterg, you are too kind. Fortunately your kindness is not creepy or weird.

Often when he's talked to me in the past I felt he was sneering. AND, on leaving I would turn around quickly and he'd actually be flashing at me. I just don't think that's right.

Anthony has been, and continues to be a kind and generous personal resource on matters related to hypnosis, many of them "off the wall," a common malady of noverlists. He has always been generous with his time and with his knowledge for which I'm most grateful.

Since I no longer perform or practice hypnosis (except vacariously), my mileage with Anthony may vary. I can only speak from studying his works (along with those of many gifted others here) and from the experience of my contacts. On the basis of these, I agree totally with Granterg: Anthony's a nice, accessible, down-to-earth and sharing guy. This isn't to say that others here aren't, but simply to affirm that Anthony most definitely is.

How many do you know Richard? (this is not a snotty, smart arsed question by the way). I do know a few that creep me out, but I can count them all on one hand.
Message: Posted by: mindpunisher (May 29, 2012 12:14PM)
Totally? So Ant creeps you out just a little Richard? It could be said you and Ant are the very few hypnotists here with the main purpose is to SELL product. While most others are here to share with no profit in mind.

I'm sure you are both nice guys its called customer service. This place is just a place to pitch your dvds etc. And I notice less posts as the market is dwindling on here.

If there was a surge in sales you both would be posting here all the time like you used to when there was more interest.

I know many... I have been to the UK at many times in years gone by. Used to spend every other week in Europe in the mid 2000's...
I know a lot of decent people in the UK....
But in the world of hypnosis...
If its a flame war...
If its an oddball challenge....
If its a hair brained scheme...
If its some wacky assault on other hypnotists...
there is a 99% chance a UK hypnotist is behind it...

LOL guess I phrased it wrong.. Ant does NOT creep me out at all.... But one of the UK exceptions...

I have to admit, I have yet to see this sort of behaviour on your side of the pond.
Message: Posted by: mindpunisher (May 30, 2012 09:32AM)
Ive never seen a wacky or sensible assault on anyone. If you are talking about flame wars then that is nothing but playing around on
here.

And that's right there are no hair brained hypnotists in America? Give me a break you guys are the center of the universe when it comes to hair brained psychic or hypnosis

Ive not seen anything as daft as this in the UK ever. And your part of the world has loads of this..

And this is a brilliant episode of full length... Although Ross Jeffries comes across very well the rest are lunatics or con men.

Mindpinisher - Is there a way on this forum to block your posts so I don't have to read them?

Louis does find some gems, doen't he?
Message: Posted by: bobser (May 30, 2012 06:29PM)
Exitmat, you may not know it but mindpunisher has an army of followers here in The Café who hang on his every word.

I love Louis' show. I don't always agree with 100% of his premises but he comes off as a really nice guy. Heck, he was even nice to the Westboro Baptist Church members.

He loves me, but rarely admits it in public.

Actually shrub if you read threads you will see I love professionalism in this field. And have a huge amount of respect for those that are good professional hypnotists.

Its also obvious I hate amateur dabblers that learn how to take their hands off their nob long enough to stick it to their head
( that's their hand in case their is any confusion)and believe that they are not only hypnotists but know more than those that know what they are talking about.

I also hate amatuer dabblers that come on here ask for basic advice then sell shoddy products to those that don't know the difference.. then become know-it-alls.

Pete,

You can link to his website from his signature and get a good insight into his performance style by searching for his stage name 'Shrink Hypnotist' on You Tube.

Here is a clip from 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOh0hwK-0FY

Enjoy.

I find MPs post among the more useful here. He does not suffer fools gladly - but since when is that a fault?

I second this. His products are awesome. Today I followed the Trilby Connection and hypnotised my friend on my first attempt. I got as far as getting him to forget his name and a few other things but chickened out of making myself invisible.

Excellent product Anthony, well done.

that's true Ant and those performances are getting a bit old now but the point to take into account is some of those clips show audiences of 1000+ who ALL paid to see me.

And here are a few old testimonials from PAYING clients who paid me thousands for a few hours of my time. And you can see the results they get when they work with the. http://www.advancedmind.co.uk/testimonials.htm

Currently I am working with European Tour golf pro's Champion athletes and working on an introduction to the Scottish rugby team.

this is what hypnosis is about not sticking your hand to your head or a table. But if it floats your boat...it certainly describes a certain type of customer. We just go for different markets.

And that ok its just not my thing... if its yours then run with it.
