The Legacy Emergency Kit by Subdivide studios-
http://www.subdividedstudios.com/LEK.html
I love this!
The materials provided are of the highest quality & the customer service is awesome.
The instructions included are clear & easy to understand, the effects taught are great & fun to do.I highly recommend getting this, I have been into thread for years & I always had bad luck with pre made Loopz, hoopz, bands or whatever you want to call them.

I always ended up frustrated with breakage(many times simply taking them off the card) & because of that, I would only do certain effects once in a great while. Now, if one breaks, I may get a little ticked off, but I don’t see dollars with wings flying into the sky.

This is a nice stand-alone item, but I do plan on getting Subdivides Trinity -
http://www.subdividedstudios.com/Trinity_System.html which the LEK is meant to be a backup for.

I have been having a ball with this, just having in in my pocket & couple set ups ready makes me smile :)

*UPDATE*

I have been using this for about 2 months now & it is THE best I.E.T. I have ever used!

I have been practicing with I.E.T. for about the past decade,I do mean practice. Very rarely did I perform anything for fear of breakage. I tried all the different types of thread, harvested my own, split thread,etc............

Legacy thread has made it so I can actually do work with LOOPZ(I don't want to get sued or have this wonderful product be confused with junk I wasted too much money on to learn they are unreliable)).

I went to a convention this past week & I changed a lot of peoples minds by sharing the L.E.K. with them. Many others like me who had given up on doing effects with I.E.T. because of unreliability, expense & difficulty tying your own.

I went through about half a spool making loops & showing different effects to a bunch of people.Everyone was quite impressed by the strength, invisibility & the ease that you could tie your own.

No one should EVER spend money again on pre made set ups,it no longer makes sense(unless your rich).

While you of course still need to be aware of all the same factors while using I.E.T. as with any other. That feeling of waiting for it to break & hope you can finish what your doing(thread dread)is GREATLY reduced.

I actually had to reprogram myself to get over "thread dread",while you will still get breakage,it is much less frequent.I'm pretty much to the point where I can feel when it's about to break,I get rid of it & make fresh one. Now,when the thread does break,I don't get frustrated & give up. I have a spare or 2 ready to go or, I can have a new set up in less than sixty seconds.

I must have done the haunted pack 60 times this past week, this is my pet effect & I am absolutely thrilled to be able to do it consistently(not to mention it looks freaking awesome!)

I can't recommend this highly enough!

I just wanted to add something about breakage,I abuse the hell out of this stuff!

I am always experimenting with different things & really pushing it's limits to find out what I can do with it :baby:

Under normal use,the loopz have a pretty good lifespan.I have made them for other magicians & they have had them last a week or more.

I just ran out of Legacy :bawl:
I do have more on the way!

I had some other IET lying around that I got shortly before the Legacy thread & figured I could use that for now, nope!

After 20 minutes,I had to give up.

It split,it frayed,it broke.

Enough said!

This is my favorite magic utility ever!

No one should ever buy pre made set ups EVER again!

Tying these is so easy,I can do it.
I have large hands & bad eyesight(even with glasses) & I can whip these out in under a minute.

Every magician I have shown Legacy to has been more than impressed.

If you have any interest in working with I.E.T.,just get this!

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but this stuff is truly amazing!

I had an opportunity to meet Sabashtion at the Genii Convention in Orlando. I had been thinking about purchasing his system so that I could tie my own elastic bands. I really wanted to work with bands but found it so discouraging when I would break them. I felt discouraged because Mesika loops are expensive. Well I decided to purchase the Legacy Emergency Kit which has everything needed to tie amazing bands. It is fantastic! The DVD includes very clear instruction on how to tie the bands as well as some strong effects using the bands. This is a great product that will have you tieing bands within five minutes after watching the video. I would give this my very highest recommendation!

Legacy is the best & the L.E.K. is your ticket to reliable work with IET.

I have still done comparisons with other IET & Legacy is the only one that I trust.

Legacy has never failed me in performance, unlike other pre made circular formations of IET.

Ok, I know I must be missing something here, and I'm sure this question must have been asked and answered in the Café before, but I can't find it (and I've got stars in my eyes from looking...).

The LEK allows you to tie IET "circular forms" (no law suits here either, thank you!), and it comes with a video showing 4 effects (3 of which are by Justin Miller, the other by Sebashtion) and a dispenser containing 300ft of Legacy thread. It costs just over half the price of the Trinity system itself. Plus it's portable.

From what I can see on Subdivided Studios website, the Trinity system isn't portable, doesn't come with a dispenser of Legacy thread, nor any effects on the video. So why buy it, when it plus a spool of Legacy thread cost more than double the price of the LEK?

(Ps. I'm not whinging or complaining, just want to be sure which is the right product for me and can't see the logic here...)
Message: Posted by: Sebashtion H. (Nov 12, 2012 07:30AM)
The LEK we sell as a companion for the Trinity System, The Trinity System has been the choice for tying IET Bands since its release....
we received many emails on what to do if you didn't tie enough bands for your trip (out of state or elsewhere) and forgot your Trinity system???
The Trinity System is portable, it is small enough to take with you but if you forget it and or left it home and not have it in your close up case when you break your last IET Band
the LEK saves the day!!!! The Trinity System also is for those that do not have good hands for tying by them selves, it is that extra helping hand at these times,
Also the Trinity System is a Custom Hand Made Piece of Equipment, it is not some injected molded or CNC made prop.....

The LEK is Really Shines if you are working and cannot stop to tie, you can tie walking up to the next table and no one will ever know what you are doing!!!!!!!

Hope this helps?

Thank you for the reply, Sebashtion. That helps a lot. When I've got the money, I'll go for the Trinity system, probably ordering an LEK later next year.

This is a bit cheeky, I know, but are there any offers in the pipeline that you can tell us about? I'd hate to order one in the next month or so, only to find that if I'd waited I'd have got a better deal!

They were (and the deals looked good), but unfortunately it seems only for a day or two. Not enough time for me to have got my order in :-( Looks like I'll have to wait for the next one...

(BTW, can anyone tell me how to add emoticons (is that the right word?) to messages? I can add a smiley face (colon, hyphen, close bracket), but not a winking face or an unhappy face using the keyboard symbols.

It must have been a blink sale because I checked rather frequently and obviously missed this entirely. Forgive me but I'm not feeling the love from this one. This is certainly not a reflection of the quality of subdivided's products which are superb.
