I have the extreme pleasure of working at The Mortuary.net for the 5th. year now for Halloween. The home a former Funeral Home, turns into a spook house at this time of year. It is also a real Haunted Home. You might have even seen it presented on a recent episode of Ghost Hunters.

I'm working in the RAT LAB, now for the 3rd. year. Being a magician, I remembered an old trick I had in the 80's., Judy the Mouse. Using the same principle, I can manipulate a rubber rat, that is in my hands, so that it looks real. As the guests look at my rat, I have it suddenly jump out of my hands at them.

I guess I have scared hundreds already this year. If you happen to be in New Orleans, come by and visit us.

We used Judy for a video segment. We "reanimated" her from an urn using a ritual combining blood and ashes from the urn. The actor using Judy was able to pop her right on to her finger as soon as I dumped the urn into her hand. We did the whole segment without an edit and Judy looked very real.

My wife and I are working Liberty Ridge Farm's "Harvest Haunt" in Schaghticoke, NY. We're performing magic and sideshow on stage in front of one of the lines to keep the line entertained. They've ramped it up from last year, built a whole new haunt and remodeled a bunch of rooms from last year. We're looking to be #1 this season.

If you're in the area, check it out. http://www.hauntny.com
Good luck on your haunts as well.

Had a decent opening weekend considering that it rained two out of three days.

The first day we had the actors all in makeup and at their positions. We went out to set up for our show. We got a small crowd and decided to start. When I got on stage, I noticed little droplets on my table top. It wasn't supposed to rain on Friday. My wife took the stage next, got halfway through her routine and the skies opened up. We told our crowd to go take shelter and we broke down our gear and moved it into a structure on site. The rain continued and the night got called. Despite all this, there were still people driving up and wanting to come in. But, the night was called.

Saturday was a great day. Looked like we had bigger crowds than last year's opening weekend. We did shows to some really good crowds. We were getting good comments about the additions made to the haunt itself. Just a great day overall.

Sunday was a little like Friday except the night didn't get cancelled. The rain started a little later. People still wanted to come in. So we got moved under a tent and proceeded to do shows to receptive audiences. Again, not bad for a rainy Sunday evening.

Next weekend we are open Friday and Saturday. The weather is supposed to stay dry. So we are looking forward to the massive crowds and the constant run of shows. Come out and see us if you're in the area. http://www.hauntny.com
