I see the new Star Trek series "Enterprise" will be airing soon.

Looks good so far. I for one can hardly wait!

Once a Trekie...always a Trekie.

By the way, word has it that Star Trek X should hit theaters by summer! :dancing:

How can you even think of a New Trek show when Buffy is about to be brought back from the Dead or Harry Potter is about to be made larger than life for the Silver Screen. Kind of pales in comparison. :goof:

Not to rain on anyone's parade but Buffie and the Enterprise are no match for the power of the darkside...........

So true Dorian. Interesting that Lucas has chosen a NEW video technology over using film this time around. :wow:

It's all a matter of perspective. I've never been interested in the Star Wars movies. I've never even seen one all the way through. I'm more the horror buff with just a hint of sci-fi on the side. I'm still looking forward to that most beautiful vampire butt kicker to come back on Oct. 2nd.

You guys and your wacky science fiction, I'm still waiting for Sanford & son-the next generation starring james Earl Jones & Gary Coleman.

It will rule! :dancing:

Remember...there can be only one!

By the way, I hear the next "Highlander" film is already in production. :)

Yeah Lucas is now completely digital when it comes to filming. You'll never hear him say it's in the can again. My prediction for Highlander....FLOP. Sorry. However, Indiana Jones 4 is in the works!

Take care!

Wha-chu talkin' bout Vader! :rotf:

I'm glad Ford is putting his hat back on.

I knew they were going to make another chapter, I guess they finally found the right script.

I find it ironic that Lucas (from what was posted here) chose to go digital for the next installment of the Star Wars series when he has refused to release the previous versions on DVD. Only available in VHS right now. :hmm:

I am more excited that TNN is re-running The Next Generation starting from episode 1 :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

I got to meet Jonathan Frakes at the last "World Magic Awards" It was just too cool!

I need help. My cable company will not be carrying the UPN network until sometime mid-October.

I am sure you can all see what kind of hell this puts me. The New Star Trek series is starting next week and of course, in only a few short weeks the buff is back.

So my plea Can someone record these shows for me? Please! My wife does not think this is a ‘good excuse’ for moving. So, I’m stuck with not new/old enterprise and not Buffy! ARGGG!

Thank you

TC

PS I will gladly pay you for the postage

You got it TC! I'll call you later, but I'll get them for ya.

Just finished watching the series opener for "Enterprise".

A little different, but I think it shows a lot of promise. I await the next episode! :bg:

Steve,

The new show was very cool! I really liked it, I agree with you. Did you see the body on the Vulcan science officer? :wow:

TC, it's in the mail :wavey:

Mike,

SW Episode one will be on DVD in three weeks, but I hear that for 4, 5, & 6 we will have to wait until 2001!

STTNG begins next week on TNN!

Vulcan science officer eh...I see your a sucker for mis-direction.

I thought the show was very well done(they pretty much always are), my only reservation, and this is a minor thing, is I feel the design of the ship looks too close to the new Enterprise E from the films.

Of course, that's just from a trekie viewpoint. :)

I thought it was a killer show, and the Vulcan chick is an ET Hottie!

There is a reason that Lucas is holdng back on sending 4,5, & 6 to DVD...

My wife was not very encouraged when I told her all my new "magic dork friends" (her affections, not mine) were also my new Star Wars/Trek dork friends (you'll notice I put the better of the two first). Anyone else have a son named Yoda? The wife drew the line at having his ears surgically altered.

<sniff, sniff> I am still overwhelmed at the fact that I consider myself so lucky to have found this site. After looking thru this thread, I NOW realize that I am home and no longer feel so much like a "geek" ;)

I missed the first episode of Enterprise. John would you mind if I looked at your copy after TC is done with it? Please e-mail me. I have enjoyed what I have seen so far. As an actor though Scott Bakula is always playing Scott Bakula. Not that that is a bad thing.

Regarding meeting Star Trek celebrities I had the opportunity to see Gene Roddenberry lecture back in the seventies. I was able to meet him and have him autograph my copy of The Making of Star Trek. He stood over 6 feet tall and was very easy to talk to. I had not thought of that experience in years. Thanks for reminding me.

Another 9 yr old reply...

And you married her WHY?

Nerds are a terrific catch and most smart women know that. We're loyal, appreciative and generally hit a higher income bracket over our lives.

I got my wife into sci-fi and she got me into Disney!

I'm not certain WHO got WHO into the whole "anime" thing.

I got my girlfriend into splatter movies and Pantera. She got me into Toby Keith.
