Topic: Request for prayers
Message: Posted by: GlenD (Mar 26, 2013 09:15AM)
I would just like to request prayer for the family and primarily for my father-in law, Gerry, who is now in ICU and critical condition. He went into emergency Thursday and got significantly worse Monday morning and moved to ICU. It's looking pretty grim, he has heart problems, kidney trouble, dementia and now pneumonia. He is and was a good man and never sat around complaining despite the stuff going on with him... And then in addition to being up at the hospital most of the weekend we came home to discover our checking acct. had been hacked and depleted and also had a crack in a pipe (up in the attic) that was raining down in one of the bedrooms! Hat trick of disaster! Thanks in advance for any and all who send up any prayers, especially for Gerald!

Glen

P.S. - Still need to refocus and prepare for a show I have in less than 2 weeks (hard to concentrate right now)

+ O Lord Almighty, the Healer of our souls and bodies, You Who put down and raise up, Who chastise and heal also; do You now, in Your great mercy, visit our brother Gerry, who is sick. Stretch forth Your hand that is full of healing and health, and get him up from his bed, and cure him of his illness. Put away from him the spirit of disease and of every malady, pain and fever to which he is bound; and if he has sins and transgressions, grant to him remission and forgiveness, in that You love mankind; yea, Lord my God, pity Your creation, through the compassions of Your Only-Begotten Son, together with Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, with Whom You are blessed, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. +

Thank you MagicBus, Maps, Harris and Dougini! You all have a blessed day!
Just to let you know, a decision is likely to be made today or tomorrow regarding continued life support. He indicated, on sigend paperwork, that it is his wishes not to be sustained via life support and his condition has remained unchanged since Monday. God's will be done, if he is to leave that hospital to be with the family a little longer, a miracle needs to happen quickly otherwise he will be home, truly home!

Praying that God might perhaps give him more time. And if not, that God will give him comfort and grace. Praying God's mercy and BLESSINGS on you all while you journey through this.

Thanks again, everyone. Dad went home a little before midnight last night. It is comforting to know where he is and the promise of seeing him again someday.

Sorry for your loss. You are absolutely correct, it is wonderful to know, when a loved one dies, that they knew the Lord. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord, let Perpetual Light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." Revelation 14:13
